The fills show an buy entry for 2 contracts at 822.1 followed by 1 sold at 823.1 so that might explain the 822.1 price on the DOM but if that were the case the DOM should show your net position as long 1 instead of short 1. Recording the screen will help to find out exactly what is happening so that the vendors can pinpoint which one is at fault. Also recommend you capture the order screen to confirm fills and a T&S to provide a point of reference.
kalalex, I'd never had a Mac before either (until May of last year), and I do truly enjoy it very much (21" iMac with 2nd monitor). I'm old school, not a very techie person. If I can adapt to a Mac, I'm quite sure you will easily be able to do so. There is so much information online, almost every question you can think of is answered. Apple Stores are helpful. There are also books that I'm told do a pretty good job of guiding a person to proper usage of a Mac, but I haven't purchased one of them yet. I would recommend the 27" iMac. That screen is absolutely sensational and would be a great venue for a trader's workspace.
I thought the same thing, did some searches for how to record a video. I found a download of Camtasia, but it said,
"... CamStudio... released a newer version which fixed some bugs (and) removed certain features. Gone was the ability to create SWFs, added was the requirement to register to use it, and over time, links to the various webpages that had CamStudio and its source code, became broken. However, I managed to find an earlier version complete with the related CamStudio video codec (comparable to Techsmith's excellent TSCC), the source code for both and just put the website up so people could download them ..."
I had something similar with NT before, several years ago. We discovered the issue was I was wireless when it happened. The correct price was in the trade log, not the dom, in my situation. If I logged off and back on it corrected itself, but I would just go flat since I did not know what happened, and then called the broker to confirm I was out.
I've used a variety of screen recording software: Screenflow(Mac based), Camtasia for Mac, Camtasia Studio 6, Camtasia Studio 7, and now Camtasia Studio 8.
I originally liked the feel of Screenflow because the interface was more 'Mac-like', but I found that Camtasia Studio was just easier, more flexible, much quicker, much smaller file sizes, and better quality than Screenflow.
However, if you do get a Mac, I would not recommend Camtasia for Mac as it is a completely separate application design-wise & compatibility wise than Camtasia Studio.
NT for the most part is one of the buggiest programs I've ever used - and I have the holy grail of computers. You learn it's quirks and get used to it with time.
Hopefully NT8 is an improvement, but my experience is that programs usually acquire more bugs as they get updated with fancier UI and bells/whistles.
What kind of bugs/quirks are you seeing? Maybe it's something some of the futures.io (formerly BMT)ers can help with.
From what I understand, NT8 is going to be able to take advantage of multiple cores for more than just backtesting as well as some other performance features that should help.
