Hallo everybody, this is my first post here.....
I know that this thread is actually almost abandoned, but I wonder if there is anybody still interested on Murrey Math.
I ask for people that actually have the original books from Murrey and that already know what actually the levels are, not for people that just used the indicator ('one of the many out there).
I am studying and using Murrey since years now and I am profitable, but I still would like to find people that know the theory behind it and discuss with me some settings, like the use of a square of 1 for the currencies...
Thanks

The books I am referring to are:

Well bobc, thanks for the input... in any case I ve said it is my first post here , not my first post ever...
So do you really think I didn't already read a 24 pages thread?????
I thought that this place was different than other forums (FF for example), but I see that the attitude is the same...
Thanks anyway......

Zambi and Lmess if you are still here and still on MM please let me know...

Now let's take a quick look at what happens when price moves above 8/8 or below 0/8. This does not occur too often, but when it does it's important to know what to expect.

The above illustration tells us the following: If price moves above 8/8, 75% of the time the price will reverse off the +1/8 line and retest 8/8 before moving higher to +2/8. Similarly, if price falls below 0/8, 75% of the time the price will reverse off the -1/8 line and retest 0/8 before moving lower to -2/8.

Now, if price moves beyond the +1/8 or -1/8 lines, then 95% of the time it will reverse when it hits +2/8 or -2/8. Remember, the market was already in overbought (8/8) or oversold (0/8) mode, so once we push that to the extreme (+2/8 or -2/8) it is extremely unlikely (95% chance) to reverse.

Check out this illustration to see it demonstrated:

I hope this has been a helpful exercise in better understanding Murrey Math Lines!

Mike

Hello Big Mike,
I know this an old post, however I still use MML, but I moved from NT to SC and also trading NQ instead of CL now, and settings are a bit different for the SC ...do you use or used use MML calculation based on trade session or to calculate certain amount of bars ? trying to incorporate it again in my trading plan.
Thanks
m23

Let me look in my book archive, I might have it. I also trade MMLs almost every day, and have a few tricks to shift the MMLs, so as to more accurately reflect support and resistance.

Sounds great, let me know. I found some resources but not the original book.

@bachiano hi, great to find another Italian in the blog.... I haven't seen many. I tried to PM you but I cannot see any option to PM you, not sure if it's because you are no elite or maybe because you need a certain amount of posts.
