Hi
I would like to build a 200 days database so i can calculate s/r lines from it (calculate the ATR of each day) . I know that QCollector does this work. is there a good freeware that does the same work? does gommiCD do the same thing? or else how do i do such calculation?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I do not know what you want to do with it, but if you are looking for an average daily range, you could just add the Volatility Bands indicator to a NinjaTrader chart.
It will display
-> the average daily range for a period 1 (example 50 business days)
-> the average daily range for a period 2 (example 100 business days)
and then subtract/add that amount to the current daily high/low to display a target for the current day's price action.
Only restriction: This indicator does not use the average true range, but the average daily range (no adjustment made for gaps).
thank you very much Fat tails
actually i need something different.
i want to take a data base of the last 200 days, and then write a program that will calculate for each day the difference between the open and the high of the day and the open and the low of this day - and then calculate the average price - for the highs and the lows of 200 days.
the question is again - where can i find or how do i build a data base of the open/high/low of the last 200 days?
full of respect and thanks to your will to help
