i wanted to ask if anyone knows if it is also necessary to read the first book too, since it is not that readable...

do the new books cover all the material from the old ones?

Hi Ikeaboy,

I have the first book and I've just started reading the new version. I agree completely, it's like Lord of the Rings or maybe what they did with Harry Potter and the last book spreading it over 2 movies :P Yeah, sure, 1 movie wouldn't have done the last book justice :P

Thanks

James

The pictures are good, I can see everything, however Al Brooks mentioned that he has released all of his diagrams that he uses in his book onto his website and they are larger and more clearer. So this allows you to have the book in one hand and a zoomable diagram on the other.
James

Thanks for the info James. So I will probably take the kindle version.

I have read 5 chapters in the first book so far. I struggled with the first book but was unable to progress beyond the first chapter. This book is much clearer but still I find myself wondering sometimes "what have I just read?".

I think I will need to summarize the chapters so that I can remember the material, the main problem for me is I lose track, he is discussing things in such detail, I sometimes find myself completely lost and cannot even paraphrase what I just read... anyone has the same problem?

Well as Big Mike has mentioned in his previous post's response to me, I think it would be okay to discus, paraphrase or summarize Brooks' material here. I would certainly appreciate being able to bounce around ideas and my understanding of what he's written so far :P

Hi Buzzsaw,

You MUST own the book to be able to remove the DRM, from then, you can convert it into any format you wish. You can find the procedure on youtube, just search for it as I don't want to write the whole procedure down here!

If you have any problems though, just PM me and I'll help you with it.

Thanks

James

Thanks for the pointer. Will review and PM as necessary.

Happy Holidays!

I've noticed that it's likely that one need to have all 3 volumes as the glossary in the book does not define all terms used in his book but scattered over the 3 volumes. E.g 20 gap bar setup mentioned on pg 113 of Book 1 was discussed in p.23 of Book 2

Has anyone else noticed the charts provided on wiley for the first book have been replaced by the second? Is anyone else seeing this?

It must be me, I'm trying to read his new book but again, I'm already lost after reading the first chapters.

This new book isn't for me. He's talking about H1, H2 and other stuff without clearly explaining them in the first place.

Congrats to the people who manage to follow it. I'm not one of them.

Watch the two webinars in our webinar section from Al Brooks, he explains it better in video. He will also be doing a third webinar in a couple weeks, details to come.
