Of course it is. All the wealth in the world was siphoned off. The money didn't just disappear, it went somewhere hidden. Most of the general populace are left holding the bag, stuck in their respective countries' collapsing economies soon to be further enslaved by financially unsustainable socialism, then ultimately some form of fascism.
