No yelling yet, but I'm not above that. I do have a rather fierce temper at times.

hmmmm. When I started day trading I used to do it a lot. To me that says that I should not be trading.

If you are conscious and yelling, then I think you are probably not dipping into the collective consciousness of the other traders.

Not judging, but think that my guess is when you behave like that you will probably have more bad days than good days.

To expand a bit, I am yelling on the "inside", no words coming out but thinking them. And it seems to be mainly when I am close to hitting targets.

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

Only when my trail stop gets hit on a retrace... and then the move continues without me. I often say, "will I survive the retrace." 50% of the time I say, "damn!" 50% of the time I say, "guess that wasn't a retrace, lucky I had the trail stop."

Then the guy in the next office asks if I'm talking to him.

I don't yell at the chart, but I do talk to myself out loud all day long as to what is happening on the charts, helps me focus, example, if we break this level, then we should test this level etc

Sometimes I like to imagine that I'm a crazy contestant on one of those old game shows, like Wheel of Fortune or The Price is Right. I shout "big money! big money!"

I don't necessarily yell at the chart but I do voice out loud my reactions to price movements while I have open positions. I say things like "yesss", "sweett" if it's going my way and "oh crap", or colorful expletives when things go against me.

I mentally recriminate myself.

"C'mon , You know the day trend is DOWN, you know you should only take the short side why are you BUYING?"
"It was exactly in your sell zone, you've been waiting three days for this why didn't you sell?"
"Have confidence in yourself !"

I also write these in my notebook (journal) - in caps with a red circle around it and highlighted.

Now I have 3 signs that go in front of my PC

If the price action isn't going my way - I'm wondering what I have overlooked.
If it is, I telling myself not to get too confident and let a profit erode to a loss.

Keep your mind in the future, in the now.
