In this trade and the one above, PA did not go as expected, I had to lower my average price and get out as soon as the opportunity was offered, targets did not reflect the expectations if compared to the number of contracts but less is better than nothing or a loss.

Sorry @redratsal if it's already somewhere in your thread, but are you still in simulator mode ?
If not, how are you managing long trades with large MAE, like these few trades, 10 YM and 8 ES, hours in positions ?
I don't if it's an option for you, but from sim to live transition, using index ETF is maybe an idea. It will also be paintfull enough during the scale-in time of your trades, but less than with the Futures.

For the bigger picture I use the weekly vwap, quite often it is acting as a support resistance like today:

Have you looked at the 2 and 3 day VWAP at all? Just curious as it is a similar type of bigger picture look.

I am still in simulation mode, to tell you the truth I was out of my computer during these 2 trades, probably I would have exited before. Normally I tend to close the trade before the US market opens, the trade should never last more than 3 hours; if not I look for the best exit possible. With regards to MAE my limit is 5000 USD but with the ADR, see post #559 https://futures.io/traders-hideout/11184-italian-job-56.html I am looking to change this setup to something more adatable like this:

As I am still testing different solutions, I haven't decided yet if I'll use Keltner or ADR volatility bands. The idea behind is to give away some profitability and take more stops but on the other hand to avoid 5000$ stops which I don't feel confortable. Using index ETF is defenitely a good solution but they do not act as the futures and I would like to master this solution.
