Hi everyone.

@Big Mike - thank you for creating this place.

If @DameDeHasard regards herself as a Trading Apprentice then I must be a Trading Apprentice's assistant's assistant's assistant bar-person.

I got hooked on options whilst studying for my MBA. I trade options, futures, corporate bonds, equities and a bit of currency.

Came across futures.io via post by @smtlaissezfaire on process and keeping the right kind of plan/files/learning strategy. I came here to refine my process.

Please feel free to ask me about the Australian market - if I can't help you I can attempt to point you in the right direction.

I have a background in IT and general creativity.

Hi Folks,

A 53 year old virgin here (in trading that is!). Father of 1 (5 year old boy) with another in the oven and i can seriously say that the wife's hormones in hyperdrive. I have a desire to learn as much as I can for free before I go on a paid course. Here for the knowledge and hopefully pick up a lot of guidance from the various threads.

Best

Jay

Hi Everyone,
I have been dabbling with trading for a long time, now I am planning to take it mainstream. I am a programmer and interested in Math& Machine learning.
While doing some browsing, I came across futures.io. This forum is unlike others. I feel that the discussions are mature and the members are passionate. I want to learn from this forum and give back.

@Big Mike& Members thanks for creating such a great community.
--Cheers

Hi everyone,

I just signed up today after stumbling onto the thread of someone asking for a mentor. I was amazed at all the information in that thread and attitudes of everyone involved. I realized that this is one of those gold mines of a forum.

I've only been trading stocks for a month and a half and just downloaded the NT trial for futures last week. I'm using settled cash only with a small account for stocks. So, I'm not seeing huge returns obviously. But, I'm happy to say that I've been profitable to this point.

I really enjoy studying trading and I'm holding onto a very small hope that it could replace my current job someday. I know I have a much better chance now that I found this forum.

My name is Kevin Landry.

I live in Nova Scotia Canada and winter in Mission Texas. I have retired twice, once from the military and once from self employment.

I have some experience in stocks and other investments. Not an expert by any means.

I have zero futures experience. But from experience the buy and hold never seems to work for me, so I am seriously investigating futures as a way of making a few dollars and passing some time.

Pension income is only getting less with the runaway inflation and I don't believe a word of numbers government and big corporations have to tell me.

I am wishing everyone good luck and great trading. Winds at our backs.

Hi All,

Thank you for accepting me. My name is Neil and I have been trading on and off for 30 years.

I have made a little money trading and enjoy the meats and metals, also others, micros and minis if available.

Neil

Hey Everyone, and thanks @BigMike

From SoCal and learning everyday about the markets and trading. Here to learn, and continue honing my prep and premarket routine, and optimizing my tech, including hot keys, buttons, and macros. Been using Fidelity's Advanced Trader Pro, and need to eventually move on.

Cheers,
PilotTerry

Hey everyone,

Glad to be a part of this community! I started dabbling in stocks in 2018. Tried various strategies and whatnot but had trouble finding something that could stick. Lost money in between, but thankfully not enough to endanger my financial well-being!

About half a year ago I started trading futures. At the same time I finally found a strategy that suited my trading style and personality. Last month I started a trading combine with Topstep and am happy to say that just today I passed and will begin trading a funded account soon.

I hope to learn from everyone in this forum and hopefully contribute the small amount of knowledge I've gained after finally proving I can trade profitably.

Thanks!

Good Morning!

Thank you for having me, I'm very glad to have found this forum.

I have been in high-end car sales for the past 15 years and as I'm getting older the 50+ hour work weeks are starting to feel like they have a diminishing return. For the past few years, I've really wanted to find a way to work fewer hours or from home but all I seemed to find were "get rich quick schemes" until I came across day trading.

I've been studying the markets for about two months and so far I've read "Day Trading for a Living" by Andrew Aziz, "Day Trading for Dummies" by Ann C Logue, and currently, I'm working my way through "Trading in the Zone" by Mark Douglas. If there are any other books you have found impactful to your trading I'm always looking for suggestions.

What lead me here was my search for a review of Al Brook's course. I like the concept of price action trading because it can be applied widely to many markets, so it seems like a good place to start. Any other good resource suggestions for learning about price action are also welcome.

I look forward to having a network of like-minded people that I can learn from and bounce questions off of (after using the search function first of course lol).

Thank you again and happy trading!!
