Is there an equivalent of a 'daily thread' here? I have some questions that seem to trivial to create an entire post.

hi guys, have been messing around with the stock market for 15 years. the last 2 years, have been getting more serious. I am buy and hold for my main accounts, managed by others...but have been doing options for the last 2 years. wanting to branch out into futures, index, maybe faang. using butterflys (in my trading acct) to hedge my money in my buy and hold accts. looking for other ways to hedge..(??)..using John Carter's stuff. in particular thinking about the Voodoo lines, and squeeze patterns

Greetings everyone! New at trading, been studying the subject for a little under a year now. I work as an electrician with a degree in electrical engineering, so this is a part time business endeavour for me.
For now I would like to reach a level where trading can supplement my income, don't expect big money. At first I started out testing my skills in the stock market, then got interested in crypto as the stock brokers available to me severely limit my trading options.
In the end I settled with Forex which is the market I feel the most comfortable/interested in at the moment, I follow a swing trading approach, using mostly price action, although I think most patterns and ideas taught by the majority of the internet are not valid.
At the moment I am trading with very small amounts to test out ideas I gather scouring the internet for information.

Wish everyone profitable trading

Hi all,

Like most, I have traded without success in the past. Looking to develop skills and techniques in my trading methods so I can use trading for a long term income stream.

I have some programming experience outside of trading, so hoping to use automation/backtesting, etc. to improve my chances of success in trading.

I have created indicators/strategies on TOS and TS, traded a little, but nothing concrete yet. I am mostly looking at ES and hope to eventually get into Forex.

Thanks,

Vijay

Hi all,
My trading journey begin when I bought Bitcoin at 18000 at the end of 2017...
Overtrading, disinformation and fake courses, huge leverage, be tilted, stick to charts only.
Trade cryptocurrency -> Russian Market -> US stocks -> Russian market scalping -> Russian market at a prop firm. -> Learning the methodology of No Bs Day Trading of John Grady

My key realization:
1. The most part of traders are fail due to disinformation and fake courses. 99 % of information and courses about trading - is trash.
2. You can learn a lot at a prop firm.
2. Order book is the Holy Grail. But not always and not in all tickers.
3. Charts is only supplement element. Order book is important. But charts can work well in big timeframes like daily.
4. Investing is the Holy Grail also. Just wait for selloff, then buy good fundamental companies without margin. Then patience and pray. No stop losses, just wait and averaging on it way down.
