Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the add Big Mike. Been trading for a few years. Futures and forex. Have not been profitable with futures, but was mildly profitable with forex.
I have a profitable approach, but have struggled with following my rules. Psychology is the challenge. I recently hired a mentor and my trading has greatly improved.
I use VSA and some technical analysis (support and resistance, trend lines, and fibs). I trade intraday (a few trades a day) and some swing trades (a week hold at the most). The main instruments I trade are ES, CL, RTY, and currency futures.
I aim for 2:1 R:R which means I only need to win %55 of the time to be decently profitable.
I think the benefit I found with mentorship is knowing that someone else will review my trades and as a result I make far fewer errors (using pride to my advantage).
Hoping to find something similar here with others trading similar instruments and time frames. A community of dedicated traders to join and share what we're doing with each other.

Mark

Hi all :-)

Amazing forum and resource!
I have been trading stocks and forex part-time for over 14 years and have only been trading micro e-mini futures since October 2019.
I have been a full time trader for 8+ months, so I am still a scared noob :-)
I am based in Japan.

Thank you Big Mike for the welcoming in the forum,
I'm a modest and occasional trader, I mostly enjoy putting my head in chart analytics and experimenting strategies, find the fun in validating or understanding the key hands of a trace or trend.
Good day to everyone here

Hi All,

Complete novice trader here; all previous experience has been direct equity investments(small-large cap)/ETFs/OEICs.

I have a passion for the markets having studied economics, finance and investment and worked in Wealth Management for the last 7+ years.

My trading experience in limited to CFDs (via IG) and I have had little success trading Forex & small caps.

My aim now is to equip myself with the tools necessary to put together meaningful strategies and try them out on a number of platforms & asset classes. This of course will be a steep learning curve and, having considered a number of other forums, this one seems like a good one to get involved with.

At the most basic level I'm starting with reading books generally recommended by well established traders, starting with "market Wizards" by schwager, it would be great to hear other suggested titles.

It would also be useful if someone could point me in the right direction of a thread that will allow me to build my knowledge of platforms, tools etc.

I look forward to upcoming discussions!

Varg.

Hi everyone,

I am hoping to be a profitable ES day trader. I'm in San Francisco now but prefer Paris and Hong Kong.

Previous investing/trading experience has been real estate, ETFs, day trading SPY and others on and off.

I experimented with Options, Forex, Stocks, but have chosen ES due to its tax advantages and more flexible hours.

I've had more success with real estate investing, but have yet to find success in day trading.

After losing 50% of my account some years, I didn't touch day trading until the recent quarantine.

I've re-discovered day trading in full force and have studied copiously to accumulate as much knowledge as possible to give me an edge. In the past, I didn't really commit to the endeavor, but I realize now how much I am in fact fascinated by the world of finance.

Hello everyone,

I am from Germany and trading mostly stocks for 10+ years. Since a few weeks I started building automated trading systems on micro futures with NT8. Looking forward to connect with other traders and discuss ideas. My english is not the best and sometimes comlex ideas are easier to understand in German
