Hi Mike,

Thanks for your welcome post!

Brief intro, started trading Futures about 3 yrs ago. 1st and 2nd years were fantastic. Did some great trades in YM, NKD, RTY. Lost a lot in the 3rd year and along with it the courage to trade went down the drain as well. Trying to revive interest and success with Russell micro M2K and Micro S&P MES. Occassionally trade in MGC as well.

Trying to get a grip on chart setups with 5 mts and 15 mts charts. Trying it with simple setups and short trades.

Hoping to learn & share experiences from all the forum. Would like to hear and read from other traders and yourself on this forum.

Thanks.

I have been trading for Since 2016. I've blown up, I've made money I've lost money I've drifted I've taken breaks and I've struggled. Last year was my first year things started clicking for me and I felt like I started to turn the corner. I knew I needed more time at the screen so I quit my day job and spent every single day at the screens, paying attention and trading. I work an afternoon/night/weekend job now so that I can sit at the screen every single day. In 2019 I spent the whole year trading in my paper account more than my real account to prove to myself I can do this. I ended the year in my ToS $100k paper account net positive $205,000 ($305,000 Balance).

I decided that this year I will be deep diving into my trading so I can get better and continue my constant search for improvement. I am currently going through the Trading Combine with Top Step Trader, I reached my profit target in the $50k account in 2 days and then today my day stop was hit so I have to make a reset. I believe that I have been sloppy in my personal account and this is going to greatly improve my trading by engraving into my brain the risk management aspect by being held accountable. My goal is to be funded by TopStep by mid to late March, depending on what the market gives me.

I have watched and listened to Big Mike / Futures io webinars on youtube for years and it has helped me so so so much. I decided that I should join the forum and keep improving by actually interacting and supporting the community.

Thank you for everything you've done Big Mike.

Thank you for sharing this Big Mike.

I am 4 years into my trading journey with taking it serious for about 2 years and bit now. And I can see it has been extremely challenging. A lot of highs and a lot of lows. The more I expand and develop my mind the more appreciative and grateful I am for this journey.

The most important thing for me is I know where I am going towards with my goals in life and more specifically with trading. Though I am not there yet I believe whole-heartedly that I can and will be there.

Thank you for this community and thank you for all the amazing energy you put out.

Have a great day to ALL!

Thank you for sharing this story.

I believe in you!

Remember when using the lower time frames to exit and enter short term trades always start with a higher time frame to get the overall bigger picture. It will help you trade on your lower time frames tremendously.

HAPPY TRADING

Hello Big Mike & All:

I’m from NYC and loved the game and craft of trading: My story probably no different than many others... I was introduced to trading specifically penny stocks from my middle school history teacher. It was when she would coming into class to start a lesson on American history that she introduced the whole class on classic barter of ancient times to very ollde England and of course the Boston Tea Party. This is where I took interest with my teacher mentioning she made money trading penny stocks . Of course at the mere age of 12-15, I wanted mote and she taught some in class how to start. By the time I was 21 years old, I was self made, while going to college and taking all opportunities to intern on Wall Street.
Of course I was struck down for getting a real job until most brokers told me work in crappy firms first. Hence the movies Wall Street and boiler rooms... i worked exactly for them. (Stock crash) I reapplied now working for Pain Webber and Goldman Sachs, etx as an assistant trader. On too of the world, until I lost most of it, due to lack of ”Discipline”.! Luckily, I realized to have purchased real estate and invested in businesses. Went back to college for medicine. Now, 50, I’m back in retrained ready to learn and soak it up: I trade equities and emini and looking to trade futures and learn from mentors & peers and pass along to my kids the rules of money mgmt. i said too much, I hope this is useful and saves time not to do what I did was spend and take huge risks.. stay humble and have a written plan. Best to All. JJ

I’m an Army Veteran, so trading is a good therapy for me after a lot of therapy I have tried. It keeps my mind busy with positive things bcz the logistics of trading is very demanding and challenging but worth every second. I absorb the terminology and difficulties as if I was still in high school intermediate math. I started off stocks then worked my way up to options! I am still learning as I go but I have grasped the concepts and formulas needed, but can always use extra advice from everyone or anyone trading as well, no matter beginner or advanced. I learn from you all as I did in the service starting off as a private and working my way up! Thanks Big Mike for the opportunity and this valuable community which is the backbone of the financial system in my opinion! I hope everyone is successful with their trades!

Hello dear Community, I'm Nicolas Duque from Medellin, Colombia.

I've learing how to trade since 2014 when I heard about Forex market, I began trading in demo with Metatrader and quickly saw it wasn't going to be easy winning in trading, therefore, I began to study by myself in Youtube and google. Actually, I'm still a beginner but I feel better than 5 years ago, now I use ninjatrader and I trade the E-mini but still in demo, my goal is to get a funded 25k or 50k topstep or oneup soon, therefore, I still keep studyng and trading every time i'm able to. Actually, I'm learning from Al Brooks books, I'm reading the first one (Trends) and hope to buy the course and the acess to the trading room soon (unfortunately my income in Colombian currency is low in this moment, buy I'm sure I'll do it very soon). Since I began trading seriouly at August 2019 I've made 2.405 USD in 124 trades with a 43,55% ratio winning trades and 2:1 target.

I want to thanks Mike for create this community, I willing to help if I am able to do it to everyone, specially naive spanish traders because my first language is spanish (I'm no here to sell any miracle course or something, I do this to help people and learn).
