Hi! i'm starting to dive in trading, that was my lifetime dream and now I have some time and money to invest in my future. Decided to go with futures because i think the prices are driven by the classic demand/supply rules (i'm talking energy, metals, agriculture, etc) much more than everything else SO there is gotta be more underlying sense than "support level" and "cup and a handle" kinds of sh*t.
I'm going to ask a lot of questions here and i'm planning to open account in one of the following months.

Good day Sir
Thanks for the video on the pure price pattern and the eight indicators. I have enjoyed the video and would like to form part of the software. I already have an account with another broker which is currently funded and would like to know how can I use the robot in my platform as the video does not say anything in this case.
Secondly, I have been losing since 2010 when I started trading relying on my own understanding of the markets and predictions from other people. I will win trades there and there however, my emotions will get the better*of me and my account will be blown out before I know, including end in a negative balance.
I think this will assist me both in dealing with my emotions and money management, most importantly ensuring that I don't have to stress about blowing my account ever against and be in the money week in and week out which is the ultimate objective - making money for better living.
Your assistance*is greatly appreciated
Kind regards
Tafita

Hi everyone! New to the forum.

I'm a day and swing trader. Going at it for 2 years now. Got into trading thanks to infamous bitcoin in 2017.

My first trade was $100 risked for $400 gain overnight. A small highlight of the craziness of 2017 crypto bull market.

A few months after I blew up all my earnings trying to long bear flags as Crypto lost 90% + of it's market cap.

I decided time to learn what the H is going on. It's been a great journey since. There was never a question of "is this for me" I knew it was and committed upon reading "Trading for a Living" a few months into my trading career.

The first chapter: "Decide now whether you want to do this as a hobby or for 30 + years because it's crucial in order to have the right mindset to be successful."

The rest is history. These days I average 2/3 trades a day on days I trade.

I'm particularly growing fond of the 30-yr bonds. I also trade US indices, gold, and oil. Notice crypto is gone from that list? Learned a few things so far ;b

For the record it's no knock on crypto traders. My personal preference. BTC did over 300% + in 2019 which makes it the highest performing asset. I bought around 34/36 and sold 5.6/5.9. Nice chunk. One other LTC trade around 35/45 I believe and sold in the 70s. Other than that I've been out of the market as it's highly manipulated by chinese whales. The greatest respect to anyone who is consistently profitable trading BTC. It definitely was a do-or-die market enviroment and shaped a lot of my training in that initial year. Hammering in things like risk management, fast reactions, independent analysis, a feeling of "seeing it all" after experiencing 400% spikes in one day (2017) to watching everything crumbling to pieces. An analogy I like was the crypto market moves at quadruple the speed of traditional markets. That's not so true as of the last quarter, but in general still fits.

I think it's important to have good life balance. Outside of trading I enjoy tending my garden, death metal drumming, gangster rap music, meeting people, fresh air away from computer screens, and studying/living zen buddhism.

Well introduced. Get the feeling you'll fit right in with that attitude of being here for the long term. There are a lot of members here who are willing and able to help aspiring traders.

Good that you found your way through actual trading. I come from somewhat similar experience although stocks was the vehicle that brought me here and stayed for the futures.

Enjoy the process, and if you're serious about trading for the forseeable future I'd suggest watching/attending webinars and keeping a journal here on FIO or find an accountability partner that you'll share your process with. Just my 2cents.

Welcome

Hi All,

I have been learning a lot of indicators and have traded based on them. However i found that ICHIMOKU does perform better when compared to other indicators. Off late , i have started to trade using Price Action and just price action using market structures. NOt made a big profit but, i am learning to be consistent trader and trader without emotions. PLanning to take up Wycoff along with price action, but not sure as too where to start from. Also i am interested in learniing AMIBROKER coding and not aware as to where to start from.Looking forward to learn and happy to be guided by experts.I am happy to be a part of this forum. Thank you Mike
