OK., Hello, I'm here to find someone to program my charts to give signals and maybe set the signal to auto trade to catch bigger moves. Who I am, I really don't think anyone cares and I say this respectfully. To me I just want to find a programer and if that happens and my charts can be programed I'll be happy to share freely with any member here that follows to see if I fail or secede. Well that's it. Not very good with words. Guess I'll see how this post is received and go from there. Oh you may as well know I'll post my trades if that's allowed small targets and runners trading 1 contract trying to build a very small account to 5K. Trading the NQ. Best Regards, Smile and be Safe., Larrywwc...

I'm keen to get into daytrading the European futures minis (Dax & Stoxx probably). I live in Australia and I work 8-4, so catching the open in Europe seems like a good plan.

I'm currently doing the Al Brooks price action course (he really seems to know his sh!t) and I've also done the Adam Grimes free course, which was great for a basic background in risk management, psychology etc. I'm also reading all the standard daytrading books, futures 101, etc.

I'll be on a simulator (NT) for a while (with data from IB) while I get a solid trading plan together, and then I plan to start trading single e-mini contracts with probably a $10k account. If I can demonstrate consistent success I'll size up a bit to 2 or 3 contracts. I'm not in any real hurry, because I have steady job, but I hope to switch to trading income only within 12 months.

Hopefully after finishing the Al Brooks course (which is about 36 hours of content) I'll have a basic trading plan together - currently I'm leaning towards keeping it really simple, trading with momentum, waiting for breakouts or just getting on the trend train after small pullbacks (based on the theory that most of them are failed reversals) - using minimal indicators - 5m charts with a moving average & volume bars, basically, with fairly wide trailing stops & no fixed profit target.

I know this all probably sounds adorably optimistic I'm very determined though. I'm spending most of my free time learning & reading, and I'm confident I can get my head around the mechanics & risk strategy well enough to come out on top more than 50% of the time. Even now I'm doing well on the simulator (but yes I know live money is different).

Any tips much appreciated! unless it's about an indicator

cheers
-E

Hi all,

My story is quite simple. I trade options on the common ETF's for the index's. These would be for the S&P 500, Nasdaq, Russel 2000, and DOW. This strategy has been successful. I now want to learn and be successful at intra day trading some Futures contracts. This community seems to be a good place to gain knowledge and hopefully to contribute after gaining some success.

Thanks,
katmandu

Greetings everyone!
Currently,I am a student, but have been trying to learn more about markets, demo trading currencies mostly. The methods i have used are a mix of trending method, old school price patterns and harmonics.AS you can see,i ve yet to find a systematic approach, therefore i ll try a lot of things.

My goal is to find a systematic approach in order to trade by myself. That is the reason I registered here,so i can learn as much as i can from your experiences.

Cheers!

Hi everyone!
New to futures.io and still a student of the game. I'm a forex scalper and have done decently well over the past 1.5 years and would like to read and learn more from everyone and the pros here. Trying to figure out the best way to develop an automated system alongside my "gut" instincts. Always happy to learn and take advice.
Thanks and happy trading.

I’m certainly a beginner! My trading this far has been in practice through my platforms simulators. I’ve spent sometime studying the forefathers of trading and now I’m putting into practice with mixed results! I want and wish to learn more in the futures area! I just completed two books by Kelly Angle which I found very interesting! I’m currently reading Trading in the Zone by Mark Douglas and Trading Mindfully by Gary Dayton, PSY.D., but interesting especially Trading Mindfully!

Anyhow, I hope to learn and become a better trader given time!

Thanks,

Hi all,

I've been trading for about 20 years as a "hobby" (since high school) with long breaks when I would get busy or loose interest. I've gone from stocks, to forex, to futures and never quite felt like I understood market dynamics but I'm trying to focus more now and through watching videos and reading books. I can actually say I'm starting to understand how Wizards trade and am adapting some techniques.

I'm here to learn, to get help and hopefully give it. Trading is still just a hobby to me and will probably remain so for the foreseeable future (I have no intention of quitting my day job). I'm interested to read trading journals, watch webinars, and post questions. I particularly like looking at COT data and using that as a factor in trading.

Thanks to @BigMike and the other admins and mods for putting up this site. I was especially encouraged to join because the emphasis on being helpful and welcoming to beginners. Many online forums state that as a goal but few deliver.

Cheers!

Hey all,

I recently joined as a recommendation from my wife's cousin who converted to trading full-time just a couple of years ago. I'm employed full-time, but have worked in numerous corporate jobs to understand that I've got more to give to learn this and build capital in my spare time. I'm willing to put in the work to get there.

Big thanks to @BigMike for offering this forum and training tools to make it easy for people like me to make seismic shifts in their lives.

Don't hesitate to reach out.

Kind regards!
