Hello,

I left trading for a while and now I am back. Thanks Big Mike for your consistent help since 2009.

Seems I was really late to join this blog, but hope I can learn and probably impart a bit of knowledge.

Don't know how to classify my experience in trading: started in 2009, then got wiped out, stopped trading for two years, came back again and got wiped out a second time, more soul searching and tantrum throwing. Now I am calm and am back again!!

However each experience has a positive effect in that I am learning, and I am hoping that interacting with fellow traders on a blog like this will prevent me from throwing a tantrum and leaving again!!

Hope to have engaging chats with you all.

Hughes

Hope I can join earlier to learn something so that I did not lost a lot.

Started in late 2014,/early 2015, then my account get really hurt. Waste so many time/money, tried different stocks/etfs, now I am focus on the futures and etf only.

Hopefully, I will be alive during the first 5 years and eventually find my own way in the market.

Eric

Hi Big Mike and the rest of the members (I see a lot).

Thank you for the Welcome note.

I'm a new trader, well not exactly. I started in late 2008 and still struggling. My first introduction to trading began with futures. I did not do any live trading. Online trading was just a budding thing. I started learning how to trade with stocks, then options, then forex. I lost enough to stop 3 years ago and look work for a job.

I have again found my desire to (and the means) to start with trading. I've had enough of COMPLEX systems and I feel lucky to have found such group. Everything is on SIM right now and I'd like to learn as much about Futures.

And that's why I'm here. I like what you wrote about the welcoming members especially the experts of the group who are patient and helpful to us beginners.

I'm looking forward to have a great time learning in this forum and hopefully become successful in the trade and return the favor to those who're trying to learn it.

Best,
Horace (Cmaker3)

Hey, I'm Alec. I got into trading futures last year on the ES.. At some point I lost a ridiculous amount of money and decided I wouldn't trade until I had created an ATS that encompassed my strategy.. I had no experience programming, so I downloaded NinjaTrader 8 and started using the strategy builder. I made this account because I ran into a problem when I tried to create a simple bollinger cross strategy to try out the backtester; it missed tons of exits, and I have no idea why!

I wish I joined earlier and learned something to prevent me from losing so much!

Hopefully I will survive the first 5 years and eventually find my own way in the market.

It's happened to all of us.. The important thing is you didn't give up.

Hello all:

I am new to trading and hoping to make it big out here. I am analytical by nature and can follow instructions fairly well. I think I am somewhat disciplined but sometimes I do go emotional as well.

Since I am new to this whole thing, I don't even know what to look for or what questions to ask. I appreciate any of your ideas/suggestions and I am starting my journey to financial freedom through education and support from people like you.

Thank you all
