Hi everyone. I'm az. New to investing. I do invest casually in some equities and want to move to e-mini futures because one off news events are starting to annoy me. I'm a logical maths/IT person so learning technical analysis would probably be a good fit for me. I'm planning to practice on a simulation account while reading the thousands of articles to get up to speed.

Hoping to meet awesome people along my journey

Hi folks,

I'm a daytrader with 4-5 months experience using ThinkorSwim. I'm roughly breakeven as I learn volume-based TA and code my scans and studies. I'm less involved in active long-term investing as I usually buy and hold indexes, or speculate small-scale with emerging technologies and products that I understand well (engineer and product manager by trade).

Having moved away from scalping recently, I plan on using this forum for tracking and analyzing my trades more thoroughly, learning new methods to interpret price action, and perfecting my scans as I prefer to trade a variety of products depending on what's moving the way I like. I'm especially interested in timeframe-independent indicators so I can comfortably expand my repertoire into swing trading while I improve my FA.

Thank you to all the meaningful contributions to this site that have helped me get my footing. Perhaps one day I'll have a successful track record and can carry the torch for the next group of students in need of trustworthy advice.

Hello,

I've traded forex for 2years now but started to wounder about other trading venues.

Only started forex cause of a (later found out) fake guru. But I didn't give it up and took the course money I spent as lesson learned.

2years later im now starting to take what I've learned into futures. I'm still buying books and learning about futures on a demo. But I hope to start live in a few months.

Happy to meet u all

You say you are using a demo - I am curious as to what demo you are using and how you found it?
Welcome to you!

Greetings fellow market lovers!

I am a Trader/Investor currently living in Brazil. I have a bachelor's degree in Economics, and studied some finance aswell.

I started initially following the stock market in 2006 when I was going to High School in Michigan, and never stopped since then.

I've worked at HSBC, XP Investments, A commodities brokerage in Brazil, but my true calling is trading so I gave that stuff up.

Will enjoy sharing what I know here and learning from all you great people, thanks!

Hello

My first stock purchase was more than 40 years ago. I have been always interested in stocks, some period without trading. I never intended to do day traindg, was more convinced of swing trading and discovered technical analysis about 15 years ago.
French, I animated different communities, mainly one of people interested in trading (you learn much more when you can exchange or discuss) and the other one for simulation and backtesting. I was always looking for automated swing trading, still working on different bakctesting models.
I use Multicharts for my developments.
Since about 2 years, I also follow cryptos.
Happy to join this forum, where I hope I will be able to exchange and gain expertise
Wishing all the best trades
plbourse

Hi Mike and All,

I have been doing full time trading for the last 1 year. I use to work in IT for 20 yrs before quitting to do trading.

Last 1 year has been eye opening since the life of trading is very exciting with loads of emotions (up and mostly down ).. but hope to turn this around..

Have been passively investing for the last few years but last year is when i starting day trading. My focus is predominantly options, stocks and forex.

Glad to be part of this forum and learn to be a better trader.

Best regards
Prasad

Hello,
I'm in my late twenties and I found I am decent with thinkorswim's thinkscript. I met Mobius on the thinkorswim chat room and he encouraged me to complete a project.
I have been looking for somewhere trade with and your review stopped me from joining some scams. So good on you guys...

I am friends with 1 room that is obsessed with buying the dip using models with Volume and Volatility. That is nice but I have had some good forutne and want to add Futures trading on as well.
