Now you got it right! I look forward to more of your posts, and don't worry about being a noob. Hi,

I subscribe in this forum because I want to learn more about trading, I am using NinjaTrader at present. I work with my brother and one of our friend to set up our own strategies. Sukhsan started to post charts on this site already, your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Yiman,
Best of luck and welcome.

I'm new to this site, also; and it's the best treasure I've found. Study, share and be patient. Big Mike suggested I learn stuff from the psychology and money management section, so I did.

Be sure to check it out. I never realized there was really valuable stuff to learn there.

Good luck and good trading.
Ray

Welcome Roger
I'm new here too. There sure is a lot of stuff to learn here.
Sorry to hear you burned out. Been there, done that; more than once.
I hope to post more later in the NinjaTrader section.
As I mentioned to Yiman, Mike suggested that I read the Psychology and Money Management section, and I learned a lot when I did. Try it. It's worth your time.

Hope everyone had a safe and happy July 4th with their family!

Fellow traders:
If you are struggling to make money, then I encourage you to watch my latest video in the Downloads -> Educational section. Some of you have told me you did not know how to watch the videos, so I included instructions now.

Happy trading,
Mike

Thank you Mike for creating this wondeful venue. I have been at this for the last five years and I cannot still call myself a successful trader. I think I have experienced everything all my fellow traders have posted in their introduction. What I have come to understand and realize is that trading is all about me not a magical indicator, system or guru. So I have stopped looking for the magic outside of myself. I have simplified everything, threw a couple of lines on my charts using the tools you graciously provided such as Double Ma and the Zerolag MACD and that is about it. I am scalping the euro currency futures with this simple system and for the first time trading has become less stressful.

Hi Graziella
Welcome, and it looks like your on your way.
I'm new here too. You won't believe that I have been struggling for over 40 years with this, but also feel fortunate to have found this site.

Anyway, when I originall signed in, Mike told me to check out the information in the Psychology and Money Management section. Which I did and got a lot of good information that I didn't realize I should be considering.
So I recommend that you check it out too.

Best of luck,
Ray

Glad to join a community that shares ideas! I have been trading for a little over a year, started off making quite a bit of money - but money management wasn't my best spot. I have since started taking time to make trades and not over trade, I am learning by not losing right now and keeping even and learning my own style. I am investigating trading futures (only 1 contract with a minimum goal of making 50 dollars a day minus commissions). I want to learn to trade minimum, no leverage, and play this game smart until my skills grow to where I feel comfortable. I have traded stocks, based on value, news, indicators, and speculation - I think futures trading will be where I settle as its one market to learn, one equity your trading (es and ym in my case) and allows one to focus. I am a scalper by nature.

Hello Mark,
Welcome, and this is a great place to learn. Here they use the term 'pay it forward', so feel free to plug in your 2c worth anytime.
I am new to this forum also, and when I signed in, Big Mike directed me to go to the Psychology and Money Management section. I did and there is a lot to learn there, so it will help you if you spend some time studying what is there.
I know what your thinking, 'I don't need that....'. But the truth is, you don't know that you needed it until after you have read it.
Best of luck
Ray

I thought I'd go ahead and introduce myself. I used to be a long-only investor, but have been drawn to trend-following by Michael Covel's writings and the allallan blog, among others. I discovered this site about a week ago and I'm really impressed - lots of useful info.

I have a Ninja Trader license for BWT and I'm SIM trading TF to gain some experience. Fwiw, currently I'm using the 15 range (default 1.4 sensitivity setting) to determine trend, then using the 6 range (2.2 sensitivty setting) to generate trade signals (taking only those in the direction of the longer term trend). I don't take all signals in the direction of the long term trend - I've found BWT's Natural Bands indicator useful for weeding out some choppiness by only going short when the price is below the mid-band (when it's red) and only going long when the price is above the mid-band (when it's blue). So far this looks promising, but I need more SIM experience before I would go live.

I'm also experimenting with using BWT's daily signals for longer-term trading of SDS & SSO (2x SP500 ETFs).

Anyways, I have alot to learn, and I appreciate all the knowledge you guys are sharing on this site. I'll certainly pipe in when I have something useful to share.

Brian

Hi...My name is Mike Winfrey and I've been fulltime trading for over 3 years now but still not using real money. Tried that 3 different times thiniking I was ready but quickly found out that I wasn't. The last time that happened I committed to staying in sim mode until I was sure. Been at that for over a year now. This last year and a half has been the worst period since I started and I think it's because I've dedicated myself to doing my own thing instead of trying to copy someone else. I've conclude like many of you that copying someone else just doesn't work. Having said that I want to be very clear. I put in serious study and development time during my first 1 and a half years but it just wasn't the best effort as I see it. However, it sure gave me a good basis for doing my own work so I look at that period as beneficial. I've finally come to a point where I'm feeling like I can see light at the end of the tunnel because my patience is getting much better. I only trade the first couple hours of the day when the volume is good because I've found that I just give back my profits after that.

I'm trading using the my version of the CCI as my basis and taking retrace entries. I qualify my entries by using a modified version of the NT OBV indicator. I use the OBV based on the 1v chart and put that into a strategy so I can display it on my 400V and 1 minute charts on the YM. So, the OBV that is based on every contract traded is more real than using the regular OBV on on the 400v chart. I'm sure that is a convoluted way of explaining it so I will probably spend some time on that in another thread. Just wanted to give you all an idea of what I'm doing.

I have done a good deal of indicator development which you may have seen examples of on the NT forum.

I guess I'll shut up for now and look forward to participating with you all.

Mike Winfrey

Those were good posts you guys made. You're really searching for your own method, which is the best way to go.

Even though I have been in/out of the markets for far too many years, I still consider myself a novice. Made all the mistakes one can make, I guess.

You will find useful information in the Psychology and Money Management section of the site, which Big Mike steered me to a short time ago. You will benefit reading it.

Good luck, and will be looking for more of your posts.

Dear friends,
I am from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
I am used to trade stocks, but now I want to trade futures (indexes and currencies) and to get the timing to do it.
I hope to learn good things with you all, and if possible add something to the Forum.
I congratulate Big Mike for his work making this successful forum.
Sincerely

Hi, I am from Singapore.

I have been trading for 9 months. Blew my first account after winning like crazy from the ES downfall. I am on my 2nd account, still negative not BE yet. So far discipline has kept me from losing it all again. I am surprised that I lasted so long. Your greatest enemy is your last win. You get cocky.

I trade on the 10 min chart but look at other charts for indications of trend and information.

My blog, LordAlfa's trade journal is an accountability to my trading.

I think some of the other people I know from Mypivots are here like VAST from OZ.

I am a computer hardware integrator part time.
I have 3x 24" screens and that don't seem enough.

I hate it when they hit me don't fill me. Especially when the order was standing there for like more than 15 min. I don't know if it is the broker or my feed.

Thanks VAST. Top Gear, The Stig. Well. Did you see Kenny Block's outing with Capt. Slow last week?

I'm ok now. I am exploring CharterJoe's 5min and 30min IB on 6E. EURUSD futures.

So far the results are quite good, just that the drawdowns are horrendous. 1 tick on 6E is 12.50 and it runs like a crazed horse.

Huge opportunity and risk.

Hi zeeshanfkhan,
All thanks go to Big Mike. He's the one that had the foresight and tenacity to set this up. Quite an accomplishment.
When I became a member not long ago, he advised me to research the Psychology and Money Management part of the forum. It was a mind awakening experience. I suggest you spend some time learning from the smart people who posted information there.

Good luck

Hello and thanks to all by this magnificent site to learn and to share.

I am an apprentice of trader Spanish and soon time, and I will give the jump to the trading with real money.

Every day I feel like more insurance of my decisions and the positive results already accompany to me by quite stable way.

My English is even a little poor, and use automatic translators often.

So I request excuses for that reason.

Mike .....

In Spain you have a friend and your house of vacations for when you want.

A greeting.

Hi everyone!

Firstly, thanks Mike for setting this place up!

I've started trading journey 2 years ago in the forex markets (and lost money). I was gripped by excitement of it all, and I had started just before the big crash! I don't think it gets more exciting than that! Come to think of it, its kinda funny that I was excited about losing money..

Anyway, I've learnt to control my emotions now, and be strictly objective oriented. My job is just to execute the strategies. I've now moved on to e-minis, trading the ES, but I'm mainly still on demo, experimenting with various strategies.

I'm looking to find a really good formula sometime soon.

Hello madeharo,
Welcome to the group. Good luck in your research. Do look at the information in the Psychology and Money Management section, as it is very valuable information.

Sorry to read in the papers about some people dying during the running of the bulls. ( I think that is what it is called)

hi all,

about 10 years ago i worked at a chop shop in nyc. that got me interested in the markets, but not in selling stock to folks, but more trading my own account. since that time, i have finished up college and worked for the past five years saving enough money to live and trade for about a year before i need to get back to a paycheck. hopefully, i can make trading for a living a career. currently, i use lightspeed along with quote tracker and trade ideas. i focus on gappers and use a retracement method to buy or short them ala wallstwarrior and traderx. i also subscribe to a few different nightly trading services and one real time trading room.

Welcome stiks47,
Read your post and it seems like you have sources, ideas and some cautious moxie... If you haven't read some of my posts to other newcomers under the grandad58 handle, I would like to say a few words to you.

Now please don't be offended. After more than 40 years seeking my way, with a big win many years ago and lots of red ink since, I have come to learn what Big Mike is teaching to anyone who will listen; that you have to learn what you can from others that are willing to share, study the way the market you are interested in moves, and most important, develop your own method. The fact is, what someone else does may not work for you.

I'm not trying to discourage you, but rather to make you think and maybe even write down your specific plan so you know personally what you want to do. I consider myself a newbie because I have not done what I want to do, trade for a living. But I am working on a plan, and will operate it on simulation.

Big Mike recommended that I learn the good information in the Psychology and Money Management section of this website, and I would suggest you research that topic.

Good luck to you, let us hear how you are doing.
Sorry, I don't mean to preach...
Ray

Hi Everybody!

I've been trading for quite a few years and found this Forum via a post by Big Mike on the Ninja Support Forum.

This looks like a great place -- mostly laid-back and helpful people.

My style is now a daytrader (scalper). I don't swing trade much anymore since the smallest thing will often spike prices.

I'll be happy to help anyone if I can and will look forward to getting new perspectives and new ideas from others too.

Hi everyone!

Like most day traders, I blew up my account a couple times and lost enough money to make most grown men weep. After I regrouped I started trading with common sense and with control of my emotions.

Later, I decided I wanted a forum to share my ideas as well as learn from others. I created my blog on April 17th, 2009 in order to meet this goal, as well as hold myself accountable for my trades and actions. I wanted a way to be able to lookback and ensure I was following my own advice.

The blog introduced me to a lot of fellow traders, some struggling, some doing exceptionally well. Talking with them everyday has really helped my trading and given me a lot of new ideas as well. In turn, I hope that I have provided them something useful that helps in their trading.

Since the blog did very well I decided to create this forum, and it was born June 11th, 2009. The forum was designed with the specific goal of having a small community of traders focused on making money. There are other sites out there but I never really felt at home with many of them, their userbase is too focused on proving someone wrong instead of trying to help.

You can find some more information about me in my profile.

Good hunting!
Mike

Hi ,
Im Ted from Australia. I have been trading for many years but only ASX stocks I have just been introduced to the Black Dog system for Forex so Im just starting out on this journey.

Mike, thanks for starting a forum. I have been following your NT development. I have been trading forex for the past couple of years and switched to ES trading a few months ago at the suggestion of a successful friend. So far so good
I'm looking forward to participating in the psychology discussions as the holy grail is between my ears.

My name is Rich, I've traded in 08 using mostly common indicators(like MA EMA Stochastics, etc...). I just started trading the S&P Eminis in June 09. Looking for 09 to be a profitable year. Glad to be part of this forum.

Mike,

Thank you for this site and the immensely helpful information. I am basically starting out with Futures after not trading much after the tech bubble. Using Ninja and the simulator and replay functions is also of great help and makes me realize that you are correct that trading is more importantly about psychology. Hopefully I will advance to a level were I can also provide some useful info.

Hi,
I have been trading TF using NT for the past over 7months and have lost almost all the money I invested.
My experience with indicators so far are that they are lagging and most times too late for any play.

I agree with Big Mike totally that we should just ride the trend and watch the price action since we are only in the market for the shortest duration to make some money.

I hope that someone can advise me how and what the settings for the indicators used in the video on July 12th.

Thanks.
Andrew

Hi all,
I'm new to eminis trading and am looking to learn as much about this form of trading as I can. I've viewed some of Mike's videos (well done Mike!) and looked at some of the threads. Hopefully I can be a positive contributer to the group.

This is a really great site. No egos, BS,no excess of hormones. Just alot of people who want to learn and alot of people who want to share.Makes for a good combination. As for me I have been trading for quite awhile and have done just about everything wrong that you could do wrong. All the indicators will work and the all time frames are right. You just have to find your combination. Bottom line

Hello All,

New to the forum but I've been trading stocks based on fundamentals alone for about 6-7 years... started when I was in college. I've recently started trading more frequently in equities and futures. I found this blog during months of research online and time spent reading everything i could get my hands on.

I now mostly trade equities on a 120 min chart (which works well with my day job as an equity analyst) and have recently been scalping CL and 6E futures in my spare time at work.

Looking to broaden my knowledge base and hopefully share some as well...

-C

Hi everyone,

Many thanks to Big Mike for starting and maintaining this forum and to all the contributors here. I've learned a lot from many of you already. My introduction to trading came about 3 years ago and I became "serious" about it 2 years ago (I put serious in quotes because there's more I can do to take it seriously like keeping a journal, etc.). I've learned by reading books, sending emails, going to seminars, buying courses, watching videos, participating in threads, watching the screen, etc. What a journey it's been! I can only imagine the great things in store for the future.

I focus on the S&P emini futures and primarily look to enter trades in the direction of the trend using price, volume, multiple timeframes and a few non-correlated tools as a guide. My style is mostly discretionary but I'm putting some rules into a trading plan I can follow. I'm also working to improve my house-keeping (journaling and debriefing) and the position sizing, money management, and trading psychology parts as well. For those interested, I just started reading The Sedona Method and using Trading Mind Software.

I'm very thankful for the traders I've come across so far that have generously shared their wisdom and expertise and I look forward to being an active member of this community as we make profit, learn, grow, share, and have fun together.

Take care.

Hello

I have been part time trading since Feb 2008 and in February 2009 switched to full time trading.

Took a few courses with FXCM and a week course with "On Line Trading Academy" then joined up with the "The Trading Authority" I could not recommended "On Line Trading Academy" or "The Trading Authority" to any one. Both being expensive. "The Trading Authority" whilst being good at the Trade Management and Physiological aspect of trading.

The trend following system "The Trading Authority" pushes (TaTi) I found not to be profitable and also destroyed my trading mind set. The TaTi consisted of trade recommendations being placed on the chart in the form of strikes Short/Long S1, S2 S3 or L1,L2,L3 on an 89 tick chart With a 50 pip stop loss. Then waiting for the two targets to be met. The targets are 8% and 11% of the 7 day ATR. With a 50 pip stop loss. The reward ration is totally in reverse of what I would expect.

Works well in high volume periods but in low and medium activity a trade could be waiting to complete for hours. In low and medium activity I found I was buying the tops and selling the bottoms. The tick chart hid this from the traders.

Then the Stop and Reverse signals when you were given these 2 /3 times in a row at 30 pip loss each time I could make 150 pips then lose the lot or worse in a short spell.

My average pip win was 19 pips and the average pip loss was 29 pips with an efficiency of 45% I think you can do the maths. I never went live despite spending months testing the TaTi.

It still leaves me shivering.

I now have developed a simple trading Strategy based on the MACD and a couple of moving averages with a higher time frame chart as a filter. With no preconceived targets. Target is based on price action.

Does any one have experince of Volume Spread Analyst?

I am only glad that I found Big Mikes Trading Blog site.

Eric

Hello to all!

Fell into trading 3 years ago with options on futures. After losing half my account last year I switched gears to risk management and account protection with vast improvements! I trade equities, futures and options on both. I also trade accounts for family and friends now.

My goal in the next 6 months is to run 3 automated trading systems via NinjaTrader on the eminis along side my existing EOD and swing trading methods.

I am based in Dublin, Ireland. Feel free to drop me a line with comments/thoughts/ideas/suggestions.

Happy trading,

Gavin.

I am finding that no matter how good or bad you are at trading that it is helpful to share the ups and downs with other that have experienced the same experiences. I hope that my mistakes and observations will help those starting out. Thanks again fo all you do.

Hi,

I'm from Toronto, Canada and found this place through the ninjatrader forums. Much less 'noisy' here if you know what I mean.
I've been trading on and off for dozen years now, but never with 100% commitment and/or full-time. I'm planning on changing that within the next few months, but I need to concentrate on finishing an entirely unrelated project first.
So until then, I hope you forgive me for mainly lurking here on the forums...

Hello from Yorktown, VA. I have been trading futures and like Mike have lost enough money to make you cry. I have been successful the last few year. I have taken the summer off to be with my granddaughter and in the process I am taking a look at Ninja have been using Esignal and Ensign. I wanted to make things simpler so I thought I would give Ninja a look. Some of the charts you guys have created look interesting. I look forward to sharing with you in the near future.

Hello. The world of work ethics: work hard->achieve->save-> invest is gone. Credit expansion and chronic inflation turns everyone into a speculator. I, for one, like more the sewers, gutters and interstices of the trading world to the speculators of the world of politics, academia or finance. As for entrepreneurship, I do not like being parasited upon or spinned about by bureaucrats. So, I just want to see if this is for me. Thanks for the forum. M.

Hi, I am new here today (Sat, 8 1 09)...Mike I have had to register twice for some reason.

Been trading the ES for about 18 months. Doing OK at it...still a net net in the hole as I made some terrible entries last year. This year, I am up.

Been using the ECO2NEW2 indicator with some luck and some tweaks. I am using Ninja as a feed chart only and use TOS as my entry platform as their slippage is less than what I saw with other feeds.

I like to enter with One contract and double down if I enter badly but then come back after a slight pullback.

I have been studying Al Brooks' methods for about 6 months now and use his Pull-back entry method from HOPEFUL high or low range waves....I try to take W3 (brooks pullback after W0 to W1 and then W2) and enter the big Elliott wave entry W3 to W4....for some good swings.

I will go break-even plus 4 after 6 ticks of profit with an initial stop loss of 6 to 8 ticks. I will take no more than 8 ticks of heat and that will usually be one tick above the last swing high point or low point.

I am looking forward to learning here.

Hi Mike & Fellow Traders,

Hv been trading for the last 8 yrs with the last 4 yrs being a full time daytrader (scalper oriented) of the ES and recently the DAX. Like most others have spent a H...U..G...E amount (Time AND Money) in searching for the elusive Holy Grail and Secret of the Pharoah's Indicator - I will not say that it was a bad investment, because on the journey I learnt a lot about myself (in terms of what my comfort level is) as well as the biggest "two-sided" lesson of What to Do AND What NOT to Do (the latter being a much valuable lesson for myself). Before I forget, I also lost considerable money and it is simply the love of trading that kept me going and searching for an answer.

My reason for joining the group is because I echo Mike's KISS philosophy. I have found the Holy Grail and it is located between my ears inside the scalp (no pun intended)! I have gone back to the basics of Price Patterns with a huge focus on good defined (and followed) Money Management process. I have also realized that Indicators are very good at simply "Indicating", nothing more - therefore I use them as such. Although I am a non-techie in terms of programming skills, I am very aware of the computers ability to do calculations much more efficiently than the brain and am all for such activities, but strictly supplemental to the earlier mentioned Holy Grail!

I consider it a privilege to join you folks on this highway and looking forward to the journey!

I have been using Tradestation for 6 months (with no problems) and Stock Charts for 20 years. Tried to use NT and downloaded it 3x but could not get even a chart up. Found their tech support useless since they kept sending me likes to videos. Not being able to talk to some one is a huge negative for me.
So as far as NT I am useless. Have been trading for 30 years using stock charts and now Trade Station. I may not belong in this forum since the last couple of emails with NT support got so heated they told me to unistall it and basically go away.
By the way the heated part was on my end.

I tested systems part time for many years, they were all random but whatever.. a couple of years ago I just overthrew the birth-school-debt-work-death cycle and started testing more random systems but full time. Eventually the systems were not entirely random.... Finally I realized that maybe backtesting was too sterile of an environment to really learn much so about 120 days ago I gave myself 90 days to learn to screen trade.. and it's working out well really, on the simulator I pulled out $650 in one hour trading one YM contract the other day... I'm still incorporating things into my system but I have to hit it with the real account pretty soon or wifey is going to do a murder suicide... I hear her mumbling when I wake up in the middle of the night, it's very motivating

I need to get a cool icon for the site...

Hello all. I'm glad to have joined this forum and look forward to learning from others.

I'm currently sim trading with Ninja + Zen-Fire during market hours.

I know it's not the same thing but at least it puts structure into my day (I live in the Pacific Time zone) and gives me an idea of what markets I like to trade and how they move.

I currently like trading the YM. My performance is decent but not anything stellar. Luckily I've been smart enough to read up on a few things before I even started. I find particularly helpful money management - cutting losses short and honoring stops. I currently use a 1:2 risk to reward ratio with 8/21 ema crossover strategy on a 4 range bar.

Any pointers on setups that have been found to be profitable? optimal risk-reward ratios? Ideal times in the market to trade?

I also feel I need a coach. I've been reading a lot of good things about the EOT Pro Live trading room and how they make good calls and education. If you have any insight into these services can you please refer me to a couple good ones?

Thanks a bunch and I look forward to the learning.

Hi to all of you,

I have been on the Ninja platform for about 30 days and on this site for 2 weeks.
Attached is a screen shot of what is working for me while working on gettting my current custom indicators from Thinkorswim written in Ninjascript (Big Mike may have a project).
Reading your forum has taught me a lot. I'm not sure how much I can contribute
to experts but I will do my best, if I feel I can add anything of value I will. If anyone
needs anything of me, please ask.

Hi Mike,
I liked all your indicator downloads on Ninjatrader so I followed you to your blog. Nice community here. Thanks for all the valuable input.

Big Mike View Post

Mike

Hi Mike and all,

Thanks for welcoming me to your community. I just finished my Msc Geospatial Information system, I developed interest in trading whilst I was writing my thesis for the program. Ever since I have actually opened a forex account but never traded.

The reason being that at least 40 - 50 % of my decision to place a trade should not be subjective, I haven't achieved that and am back to my research board. I don't know if that is possible ...

Anyway my research area is current based on this topics below and I hope the community would help me on my way ..

1 - Hilbert sine waves inicator by John Ehlers
2 - MurreyMaths
3 - Adaptive Regression Channel
4 - value chart

thanks all

ianyas

Hi everyone,

I found this site through your blog. I am trading in sim mode using NT platform while I develop my trading plan. This has proven to be a bit more challenging than I thought. Glad to be aboard!

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. My name is Ben H., and I'm a new trader, focusing specifically on the ES. I've been trading a sim account via Ninjatrader for almost 4 weeks, and have just begun to break even. I intend to join the forum to learn from the great traders and post my own successes/losses prior to launching and going live.

Looks to be a great forum, and I look forward to participating. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, I'll try to hitch my wagon to a solid journal. Any suggestions?

Best,
-Ben

My name is Alex, I have been trading for stocks for a few years, I plan to trade ES, now I am just trading SIM. I learned a lot of good stuff from this forum, thanks a lot great guys for posting indicators and templates, especially for big mike's Money Managements. The reason I didn't post before is my bad english, but in order to improve myself and contribute a little to the forum, I will post my ES trading journal and my trading template.

Been trading now for about 7 years, and have recently switched over to Ninjatrader, trading the YM. So hopefully I'll also be doing some learning from the Ninja pro's....

Hi all traders

I am just starting with trading, so have no stories about blewing my account

As I don't know much about trading yet I'll definitely need to learn a lot, but that's why I am here. I may not be very helpful at the beginning to others but can always serve providing feedback and fresh ideas.

I am based in London, UK and at the moment I am learning to trade stocks at FTSE 350. Due to time constraints and other responsibilities I only do End-Of-Day trading. I am interested in spread betting (tax free and my trading platform of choice is NinjaTrader (currently testing with free Yahoo feed)

Big Mike: I must also admit I am extremely impressed by the forum you created - I couldn't believe it is only 2 months old!
Great job!

Greeting to you all and happy trading

Hello fellow Traders!

I'm a trader who scalps the ES and ZN. Been trading the S & P 500 since 1992(full time just recently)...I recall seeing the S& P 500 at 444.00 and wondering if it would go much higher...and watched it climb to 1500 in 2000...what a ride up! Back when I started I phoned in orders, got ticket numbers, and waited (and waited) for fills.

I switched to the ES when it was created and I'm still most appreciative of the lightning fast order entry we now enjoy. Having NinjaTrader do all the target(s) and stop(s) placement with one click still amazes me...and yes, I love it when I hear...TARGET FILLED !

I lost my obligitory $10,000.00 trading account in the 90s and survived it...learning a lot along the way.

Glad to be on board here with Big Mike and the rest of you Traders...and hope to share and learn from this great Community.

I wish us all...

GOOD TRADING !

I am The Rumpled One.

I see that some people here have seen my work.

Please DO NOT POST my code here. Most people know where I post my code and if you don't that's what google is for.

I have been banned from many forums because I am a threat to their cashflow.

Advertisers don't like it when I tell the truth about trading and expose how they cheat you, the trader.

Many call me a SCAMMER and a SPAMMER. But where's the scam when you can download my indicators for free.

Others don't like it that people like what I do and sometimes send me a gift of donation. I show my thanks by sending them more indicators. They call that selling. Well, if it is selling, then I must be crazy because a $50 donation in 2008 got you over 340 indicators. That means you paid $0.15 per indicator!! So far in 2009, there are over 200 indicators in the "thank you" zip file.

Some forums make up rules on the fly and then ban me for violating their rules.

I hope this forum gives me a fair chance.

Thank you.

2009.09.10 EDIT:

Contrary to some peoples' opinion, I am not here to PICK A FIGHT. However, if someone takes a shot at me, do not expect me to back down. Whatever I post, it will be THE TRUTH that I can back up with FACTS AND/OR FIGURES whether it's about trading or not.
