Hello,
i couldnīt find a clear answer here. Does TOS offer real tick data for futures or are they condensed like IBīs data. I see some differences on the minis in comparison to dxfeedīs data in Motivewave when using renko charts.

I don't see why you can't find a clear answer, but here you go:

"Does TOS offer real tick data for futures" -- No.

"or are they condensed like IBīs data." -- Both TOS and IB are widely-known for this.

Now you know.

How much does it matter? It probably depends on your style of trading and the use you make of the data. In a general way, many apparently find that the data is good enough, because both firms have a lot of traders using them. It may or may not be good enough for you.

Go find a more complete/exact/true data source and make some comparisons. And see what you can live with.

What source to use for comparison? At least judging from reputation, it seems that most would be better.

The concept "good enough" is a very fluid one, and depends on good enough for what purpose. But make your own comparisons, for the way you use the data in your trading. Also, of course, consider the other things the two firms offer, and see where the balance lies for you.
