Hi there, I'm new to ThinkScript and learning as much as I can.

I have the need for a TOS indicator that would flag a taken trade. I tried to use the same conditions that were used to enter/exit the trade but sometimes the conditions change with time. Is there a way to reference the trade attributes and use them in an indicator? For example, if my strategy opened a BTO I would like a green bar (like a histogram) always in time for that bar. It would change colors depending on trade type (BTO, STO, BTC, STC).

Is this possible? Thanks so much for your help!!

How are the trades entered? If that's automatic you can record the conditions at entry & reference them in the TOS indicator.

No. TOS does not give access to track an open position such as is common for position management like other platforms via indicator or strategy. If you link an indicator to the signal criteria your results will change each time that criteria is met as opposed to staying on your original entry or exit (hence order management).

You can definitely do that only if your criteria is based on the close of the bar itself. So if your entry is based on the bar closing 1st then you can assign arrows to those bars or color them based on the rules and you could easily back test. The bar closing is important, because it's official. The signal can change through the life cycle of a single bar, which is why it only really works if your entry is after closing if the signal bar.
