Altredo Thinkorswim Trading Robot

Does anyone have any experience they are willing to share on the Altredo Thinkorswim Trading Robot? or Prodigio Trade platform for TDA? I'm doing my thing with Thinkscript studies, indicators and combos, I'd like to have a way to leverage buy/sale using a conservative approach based on my study indicators when I'm not actively "hands-on" day trading.

I've picked up some great tips here, decided to become a pro member so I could get a better understanding of how to best leverage Thinkscript, then saw this forum. I'm just trying to get feedback from those who have used either and their experience, and specifically whether the Altredo is a legit company/web site. Thanks for any feedback!

I'm pretty damn skeptical of altredo. They mention binary options and crypto. Red flags to me.

I watched their first video and their bot was $500 in the hole and never saw profit. Video ended being down $487.

Then they have a screen shot of the bot and they made 36 trades and the profit shows $0.

Looking at their total amount of $ the have 97k...So it looks like a demo account that is down 3k.

You can build your own bot in thinkorswim using thinkscript but of course you need to learn thinkscript programming language.

I was under the impression that ToS cannot place orders, just simulate them in backtesting (using addOrder). Is there a way to place real orders via thinkscript?

Thanks

It's done by setting an alert that references your script and that alert is then set to buy/sell. The alert has to be setup again every time it's triggered. Sort of a pain in the ass. Obviously not the best platform for automation but it can be done.

Massive,
Thanks. Of course I was skeptical too - thus the question. But I kept going back to it as I was looking at ways to "robotize" some of my standard strategies. But I hadn't done the detailed analysis on the video you'd done. Thank you.

makuchaku: My research yields the same info that Massive gives. I found the following article that gives an example of how to do it. That's why a "robot" is the way to execute the strategy and parameters, or use a ToS API trader, like Prodigio. The robot because once the alert triggers the order, it's done. It has to be reset to do it again. So, to trade the same stock (or different stocks) multiple times with the same study trigger, it has to be setup again after each trade occurs.

Because I'm new to the forum and haven't made enough posts, I can't add the link. But if you do a search on the following title you will find a blog article that shows how to set up the study trigger and the trade:

"Tutorial: Creating Study Alerts and Auto-Trades in Think or Swim"

After months of research and analysis, the Prodigio solution integrated to TDA Thinkorswim is current the best solution for autotrading leveraging the ToS trading platform.

I right-click on the chart screen then click Create alert...Then click on Price drop-down list then select STUDY. From here I'm able to reference the ToS script but no where in that alert can I set a buy/sell order. Am I doing this incorrectly? Greatly appreciate your help!
