Yes the mac version is 64 bit. I have 8 gigs, latest version allows me to choose up to 6553 ram.
Performance for me has been more dependent on the machine running it. The i7 retina MacBook Pro was performing better than my pc, but since upgrading to a i7 Windows pc they have both been running on par.
Okay, thanks. I noticed the higher RAM choices in Configure, but wasn't sure if it was a placeholder, or if the application had actually gone 64 bit for Mac, too.
