Looks like you didn't have much luck with getting any responses on that front, raxbat. Did you make any headway? I'm trying to find a way to export Zigzag data points in my TOS charts to an excel spreadsheet for analysis and histogram creation. I've had no luck whatsoever finding an answer anywhere on whether this process is even possible from the TOS software. Obviously, I'll have to consult them directly and inquire...
Go to the Marketwatch tab and set up your symbol and the data you want for it. click on the printer button in the top right corner and select export to Excel.
Then paste it in Excel with ctrl+v or rightclick paste.
DDE for Calc
RTD for Excel
You put the settings in the format TOS recognizes on the top row A1:A100.
On the Left most row A1:Z1 you place whatever symbols you want.
Here's the magic:
Paste this into cell B2
=RTD("tos.rtd",,B$1,UPPER($A2))
It reads the ticker on the respective row and the parameter on the top of the column
Simply drag the box in any direction and it fills it in correctly for you.
You can find all the information on the website and fill it in by hand. I uploaded part of my SS which has all of the labels I could find. You of course must be running TOS at the time.
Thanks for sharing.. Quick question... How can I format decimals and data correctly? I am getting very weird digits that have nothing to do with real stock price, there are no decimals and digits are huge.
How can I format the cells to display the correct price? I am getting 2586 instead of 25.86 ir 484456 instead of 48.44
