Has anyone used the Turtle Trading system from ThinkScripter | thinkScript Indicators for thinkorswim.

He has some really great indicators. I am in the early stages of following a Trutle Method Strategy. I am currently trading it on Daily charts and 5 min charts.

It is hard to wait for a 10 period low to exit a winning trade, and see alot of the profits go away. Does anyone have any thoughts on this system and its use?

I would be interested to see how the turtles scanned for or chose stocks.

on the scanning, i don't think the original group scanned for anything.. they traded only futures contracts on a pre-decided list of commodities (main criteria was liquidity), and they watched them for the entry signals..

that's what i understood from reading the white paprer "The Original Turtle trading Rules" ..

hope that helps,
RedK

Turtle System has been successful over the last week. Its still hard to wait for a 10 period low to stop out but it has paid off. All my backtesting has proven that the method would be profitable on the group of stocks I have checked so far (which is only 10 stocks back 20 trading days).

good so far though

I started off trying to day trade this system with really mixed results. So after a month I started swing trading it and so far so good.

Ihave been using the thinkscripter turtle system for 2 weeks now and I have some great success using it on a daily chart basis. I'm currently on 3 stocks that are pretty hot czr, gmcr, and nflx. I'm also into another 9 that are hanging around even give or take a little. I've only been stopped out of one stock as a loser (msft).

I am constantly in and out of 30 stocks or so. I went from down 10% in all my day trading efforts to up 10% with this method. I love it and follow the rules strictly. I learn something new every week.

I am currently long 27 stocks with open profits of about 7%. And short 3 stocks. I pay zero attention to the news, reports of any kind or any fundamentals of the companies and trade purely on price.

Hello, I'm currently studying this system.

I know this post has a year old, but if you read this ... did you finally used the Thinkscript indicator or you just follow Turtle rules?

How did it worked for you over the last year?

I was learning this method recently also and was trying to implement it on TOS platform.
I found out that TOS named the Donchian channel as Price Channel with their platform.
You should see it under 'Studies" section.
