Most definitively, TOS is one the best all-around platforms available. I will not go into the reasons I feel this way, but one of the lesser ones is that I have it open now, on a Mac, with no virtualization needed. Pretty cool...

I had reason to contact TOS today with two questions, that turned into two more requests added to my wishlist.

- Allow users to see what Workspace they currently have open. I've created several, and I'm in the middle of building-out other ones on two computers now, and it would be most helpful have a Workspace label/s. And when it's time to save it, having this info is also quite important. The TOS rep totally agreed and put forth this request...

- Allow users to see and adjust the ATR in Keltner Channels. As is stands now, and TOS just confirmed, the ATR is tied to the chosen SMA / EMA period selected. So, if one uses the default / standard 20 SMA, the ATR is also 20 period. A 10 or 14 period ATR is fairly commonplace, along with a 20 period MA, so not the same. An example from StockCharts:

Middle Line: 20-day exponential moving average
Upper Channel Line: 20-day EMA + (2 x ATR(10))
Lower Channel Line: 20-day EMA - (2 x ATR(10))

I asked TOS to "free-up" the ATR in the Keltner Channels, and make it independent of the MA...

- Related to the Workspace label request above, and not from today's call, allow for tabbed Workspaces, or the like, so multiple Workspaces can be accessed quickly just via toggling (MultiCharts does this very well, as example). As it stands now, users must go to the Setup button (not very intuitive), drop-down, choose Workspace.

- Add a study (lower) that reveals put / call ratio data. TOS already has this data as I have it in several Watchlists. I'd like very much to have a historical, visual depiction of this ratio for the selected symbol, as well choices for broader markets.

- Add a study (lower) that reveals the number of new highs and / or lows for the NYSE or NASDAQ.

- For users that have linked accounts, allow them to name those accounts in the left panel, home area. I have 5 linked accounts, IRA's, Coverdell's, etc... Would be great if one could name them accordingly.

- On the Scan tab, allow for the combining of selections in "Scan in". As example, scan against the S&P 500 and Naz 100 (approx 540 symbols, dups removed). One can "intersect" between choices, namely for common symbols, but not combine them...

- One of the more minor ones, but since I remember... Where on TOS can one see the 10 year note, characterized as a %, now at 2.2%. I found the "TNX", but that reads at a 10x, or 22.0. As I said, minor, but would be nice to look at my "US Market Overview" Watchlist and see it as I've always seen it over the years...

++++

I think I might have a couple more, and if I remember or find them, I'll share...

Any outstanding requests from others?

I have generally found TDA / TOS to be responsive to my requests. I sense that email is better in that one can be more clear, and it is more easily forwarded or shared with others: thinkorswim@tdameritrade.com

Maybe a composite volume profile like how Futurestrader71 has his setup.
Trade markers for past and current trades like how Ninja has setup. Thanks.

Very simple request: produce a 64-bit version of the platform... in today's world, it's unacceptable to not already have this...

Didn't realize this became a Sticky...

Some more:

- Actual tick data! VP does not reveal accurate data otherwise... See Monkey Bar & Volume Profile thread. If this is important to you, email the President of TOS: scott@thinkorswim.com.

- Allow users to have certain, specified stocks (from a personal list or S&P 500, Naz 100, etc) on their Earnings Calendar (MktWatch tab). Unless I'm mistaken, as it stands now, when looking at the Earnings Calendar, one sees all stocks in the NYSE & NASDAQ. I just want to see, as example, those in the S&P 500 and Naz 100, potential mkt movers...

Hi TonyB,

I am looking for a cumulative volume indicator similar to the Weis Wave for TOS or Ninja. Seems you might know where I may be able to source one. Thankyou in advance

Wish I could help traveller. Not sure why you thought I'd be able to... I only see a Cumulative Volume Index on TOS and to be honest, I have not previously heard of the Weis Wave, but after looking at it, I'm interested - so thank you. Reading more on it now...

Do you use the Wave Volume ThinkScript? Seems that it was just recently released...

Hi Tony,

No worries- Im kinda new at this also- I understand the Wyckoff principals well indeed but cummulative volume similar to David Weis gives one more aspect to the markets- that of Force (very important IMO).

Thanks for responding

yes am familiar with Thinkscript and will pursue further

EDIT: It is Ninja trader I would like to pursue for Cumulative Volume

I know you asked for help here, but it was you helped me. Thanks again.

If you haven't already made your way over the Ninja forum here, you might want to check over there for the Cumulative Volume indicator you seek.

Glad I found this forum/thread.. Here are few from my wishlist
* add position cost-basis field to the monitor screens (both positions & statement) .. It's already available on the web view, highly important
* add all Greeks to the Analyze screen (to help construct Gamma/theta-based positions)
* in charts, identify the name of the current style of each chart on the chart title bar
* fix the issue of custom studies disappearing between TOS sessions
* ability to use same workspaces between paper money and live accounts
* resizable left pane in TOS

Also I miss the old Trader on the iPad, new version is buggy and has smaller chart space..charts are less useful if I can't choose different colors for different MA lines or BB... Sorry if that's off-topic

I loved TOS on first sight, so hoping these wishes can make it through,
Cheers, RedK

RedK, welcome to futures.io (formerly BMT).

I noticed that on Trader also, the smaller chart. That needs to change. I was quite dissapointed...

Back to TOS... Not sure if I mentioned it above at some point, but not knowing what workspace one is in sucks. That whole area can use some refinement. I mean one needs to select the Set-up button to choose and save a workspaces. Not very common-sensical.

Some items are saved to the server, but most are not. I just told them that chart drawings on the server would be awesome. I've spent a lot of time drawing s / r and trend lines on the 20 stocks I monitor and trade, but I can only see these on that computer.

RedK, I was hoping with the recent updates we'd get back full-sized charts on Trader, but no dice. I called today and hit them through email. I got this reply a while ago...

Tony,

We appreciate your suggestions. Matt has taken care of the submission request. It is most likely, something will be done by the next bi-weekly update.

We appreciate your business,

++++++

So, if you haven't done the same, you might want to...

I am trying to find a tool on TOS which will measure distance between candles (similar to the ruler on esignal or the standard cursor on MT4).
thank you

Allright, TOS wishlist .... is emailing the President a good idea? Curious. Is there anyone else higher up to email? is there anywhere public over in the TOS platform area where a wishlist is tracked and maintained? That should exist too.

- workspace tabs and the things other people have mentioned in this tread re that. Core, no-brainer enhancements well overdue; please fix before adding yet more indicator stuff

- pre-market trading open by at least 7AM EST (it's currently 8AM EST). Don't understand why this is still so late.

- more history data on sub-1 hour time frames

- make $tick real-time

I have hope in getting these enhancements as they have been very active in continuing to develop the platform since TD took over.

Have most of my capital over at TD/TOS now and I live with slightly higher futures commissions with these guys since their platform is a near all-in-one one, I don't pay extra exchange fees and I am comfortable with TD's financial stability and the safety of my funds in a way I'm not with a few other brokers that are tops in commissions, product offerings and executions.

I'm new to BigMike's forum so I've been spending time getting up to speed. I'm not with TOS/TDA but I think I can help with a couple of these requests.

1) Keltner Channels with selectable ATR length, you'll have to create a new study with a new name and then cut-and-paste the folling into it:

# contains code taken from TOS's KeltnerChannels
# modified by rhouser
declare upper;
declare weak_volume_dependency;

input displace = 0;
input factor = 1.5;
input lengthMva = 20;
input lengthAtr = 10;
input price = close;
input AverageType = {default SMA, EMA};

def shift = factor * AvgTrueRange( high, close, low, lengthAtr );

def average;
switch (AverageType) {
case SMA:
average = Average( price, lengthMva );
case EMA:
average = ExpAverage( price, lengthMva );
}

plot Avg = average[-displace];
plot Upper_Band = average[-displace] + shift[-displace];
plot Lower_Band = average[-displace] - shift[-displace];

Avg.SetDefaultColor(GetColor(1));
Upper_Band.SetDefaultColor(GetColor(8));
Lower_Band.SetDefaultColor(GetColor(5));

2)Weiss Wave
Check out Thinkscripters Wave Volume Study ( Wave Volume Update | ThinkScripter) you have to be a PRO member to get access to it, but the cost is nominal.

rhouser - thank you. I'l make it a point to give that a try (Keltner Channel ATR length).

As noted in the first post:

- For users who have linked accounts, allow them to name those accounts in the left panel, home area. I have 5 linked accounts, IRA's, Coverdell's, etc... Would be great if one could name them accordingly.

That can now be done, but apparently only via the green site (the web). One can have nicknames for their various accounts. Once established, and of course linked together, one can toggle easily between them, whether on the green site or TOS. Makes it so much easier to know what account I'm in at the time, without having to memorize an account number...

I asked again today about TOS having some type of label or indicator to reveal what workspace is open. I have quite a few workspaces, some quite similar, and it's easy to forget which one I'm in, for saving purposes... The guy said that this is requested a lot now, and to expect something soon. I also brought-up workspace tabs again too...

It would be nice to be able to draw trendlines on all types of aggregated charts - ticks and range.

Hey Gang,
I just spoke to customer service last week about the trend lines on the tick and range charts they say they are working on it and as far as the headings on the saved work space or the saved charts to Grid and sytyle they say they are working on that as well and it is the number one requested new thing everyone wants to be added to there system. I hope they do this and stop adding stuff till they get the system to be the fastest and best out there. I use TOS for my charts only because their charts are the best that is out there but my biggest request is can they improve the Data so there is no lag in the Data so the fills are as good as you can get no matter what time frame you are trading at. I stopped trading live with TOS before the merger because they were killing me with their lagging data and poor fills and when you asked them about it they said it was my fault. I have and had compared there DOM to other compamies DOM's and there was no question there was a big difference( I told them so and even told them which companies to go and compare there DOM to) in the price running up and down the DOM and the faster the price movements the more TOS lagged. I would love to trade with TOS and price is not everything or the issue and and they are competitive price-wise when you tell them what you can get from other companies and if you are doing decent volume. If anyone can tell me if there Data and fills have gotten to an acceptable level that would be great. I trade mainly futures(/CL-Crude Oil-this can be fast moving for sure) in addition to swing trading stocks(not the issue). Sorry I got carried away but frustration can do that to you. But I do love the TOS platform for sure.

More color choices for chart background under the "Appearance" tab.
Examples, light beige, pale pink.

The current choices are either too dark, stark bright or purtrid (the green OMG).

Higher resolution chart screens. Also higher resolution tables and fonts. i.e. half the size of what they have now.
ATM strategies on their DOM like NT has. Also higher res DOM and fonts. Small font thinkscript editor. Everything adjustable smaller font and row size if possible!

Ability to overlay indicators on an oscillator sub window without having to combine thinkscripts in one indicator to do so. (or is that already possible?)

I would love to see the "ruler" function in TOS - I know that esignal has one and the MT4 platforms have one as well. I am referring the the ability to measure the distance between two points in ticks, pips etc (as well as number of bars).
thanks

Better Time & Sales. Presently it colors prints which represent downticks red, and green for upticks. No change prints are the same as previous.

I don't know if anyone uses T&S that way, and cant fathom why anyone would.

In reality, prints at offer and above should be by default green (with user customizable colors if people want to switch it), prints at bid and below should be red, and prints between the bid and offer should be some other color altogether. All these things should be easy to add, but they told me they don't have plans to fix it

Also, an option to highlight prints above the best offer, and below the best bid would be nice. A really cool (I bet they will never do this for sure) power option would to let the user define whether they want consecutive prints which are at the same bid price, the same ask price, or the same between price (all contiguous only) added up in the same print. Also, a below threshold for this consolidation of continuous prints at the same bid, ask, or between price as another power option would rule.

I've been working very closely with TOS support since the New Year on not so much feature requests, but issues I've found, including this major one regarding volume.

From my email:

Hello,

I see some strange depictions of volume that I'd like to share and receive some type of explanation.

1. Total volume for the NYSE and NASDAQ ($TVOL &TVOL/Q) both have a huge drop-off in what looks like early Sep 2012. I checked and the market's volume has not fallen that much, so something is wrong. Please see the attached.

2. I just looked at the NYSE advancing issue volume ($UVOL), and it too has the same weirdness during this time. Please see attached.

3. The Cumulative Volume Indicator, which looks at volume of advancing and declining issues, is odd too, not surprisingly because of it generated from $UVOL, among others... Please see attached.

I found others too, but I hope this helps get the ball rolling. With the exception of stock price, most would feel that volume is the next most important data point when performing an analysis...

What is the explanation for what we see here?

Thank you,

Tony
++++++

Today I got this:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. There was a change in the way these volumes were reported in September of 2012. $TVOL and $UVOL is now only for the primary market. To get trades from all market, refer to the following.

$TVOL has been replaced with $TVOLC for the NYSE Composite Total Volume
$UVOL has been replaced with $UVOLC for the NYSE Composite Advanced Volume

For the NASDAQ, just add " /Q" to the end so it will be $TVOLC/Q and $UVOLC/Q.

++++++

The Cumulative Volume Index Indicator still uses the old indicators though. So, unless one is willing to wait for it to get fixed by TOS, I'd recommend simply creating an indicator with these new volume symbols.

I also worked with TOS on their McClellan Oscillator and related Summation Index. I'll try to share that next... There are some issues there too.

I've used TOS for about one year now and have previously used Ninja Trader, Metatrader and various proprietary broker platforms. There are lots of small functions and tweaks that could help the TOS platform match the best of other platforms but I'd have one general request: get some knowledgeable interface designers and run a usability test on the platform. In web design you can hook up viewers to eye tracking devices and video tape their attempts to navigate a newly designed website. All of their 'chasing down rabbit holes' is recorded as well as their 'comments'.

After this adjustments are made that incorporate what is the collective intuitive expectation for workflow and navigation. TOS is like an old European city; full of quaint nooks and crannies but crazy-making if you know what you want and where you want to go!! Instead of adding ten more whiz-bang tools, they need to streamline the functionality tools and navigation of the current platform.

For me, I'd like to see significant improvement in strategy testing capabilities within TOS. Compared to other platforms (e.g., TradeStation), it is sorely lacking!

As a a followup to my previous post I've thought of some specific feedback and suggestions. I certainly haven't explored or mastered all of the tools present in the TOS platform but from my experience I'd mention the following;

Pros:
1.) Excellent Options Graphic View Analyze section. This has been the primary area I've used and from what I've seen and heard TOS is the best free location for visualizing and managing option spreads. The free platform use and data is a plus in contrast to most other competitors such as Tradestation, or NinjaTrader or Sierra charts with paid monthly fees for platform use and data. The TOS Support has been excellent and I've always been able to get a tech person to help by phone or live chat.

Cons and Areas that Need Improvement:
2.) The Active Trader DOM works fairly well although they should copy NinjaTrader to clarify the trade SL/TP bracket setups, and add NT's on-the-chart trade management. The Accounting section of TOS could provide additional options for viewing account P/L's and past trades. An example; have a function that matches up by trade number, the open and close trades. This would be helpful for all trade types but particularly for option spread combos which are put on and taken off as a group. This would save a lot of scrolling and assist with end of year tax preparation.

Fix the chart display of price bars. Neither the Auto or Manual adjustments plus saving the current layout in 'Studies' and 'Styles' preserves the zoom in-out of price display or indicators. Every time you exit charts and return, the price chart has been scrunched into a horizontal line and you have to manually re-adjust. Take a hint from Metatrader charts. The scrolling and zoom in/out always adjusts the price bar view to display with an optimal view for the chart space.

TOS suffers from design bloat that layers too many version updates. The basic functions are lost in a hodge-podge of tools and tabs. As I mentioned in the previous post, navigating the platform is like visiting a medieval city that still has the same street layout as in the 1200's but now has skyscrapers and freeways crammed into the original city layout! I'd suggest they face the challenging task of rebuilding the platform so that the interface and navigation is intuitive relative to current norms of charting layout. Clients who open an account with TD Ameritrade and TOS will likely be familiar with the workflow layout of competing platforms and the intuitive navigation learned in surfing the web.

Perhaps they could first build a simplified, stripped down 'child' version of the TOS platform but that has a layout and functions in keeping with current norms. This could be provided to new clients who don't want to wade through layers of options just to complete basic trades, and to old clients who want to run a lightweight platform with only the the basic functions. Meanwhile the current bloated version could still be available, as they begin to rebuild the whole platform behind the scenes using a new cleaner style as implemented in the prototype child version.

Just my 2 cents)

Quit making available Volume Profile until they start using true tick data

Volume Profile DOES NOT work properly in TOS because of how they receive there data

I would like to see charts that are volume based i.e. consider a candle chart where each candle will update not based on time frequency but rather based on a predefined volume activity (update every 20,000 traded shares). The bottom axis will still show the time. This will give another dimension of analysis which I think can more accurately describe price activity.

Hey - first post for me here at futures.io (formerly BMT). I would love to see TOS provide automated trading based on specific alerts. TDA has StrategyDesk and used to have Prodigio, but right now TOS is the platform where they are spending all of the their development resources. Rightly so, as it is a very nice piece of software with lots of potential.

I have only recently been playing with TOS, and have had discussions with their support staff on getting alerts to trigger based on intraday crossover events - so far no luck, so that would need to be on the wish list as well.

1. Fix intraday alerts (e.g., alert when the price crosses above the upper BB(20,2)).

Then,

2. Automated trade execution based on the triggered alert.

I would like them to show the current theoretical price of an option based on B&S or some other model. It can help when you trade options with large spreads. Today they only provide future theoretical price which is based on the current mid price and user inputs on passage of time and underlying price. It is also very inaccurate.

Hello,

I would love to be able to backtest and optimize strategies, I really think this is a must.

Currently the ability to test strategies by running reports is really slow and lacks many features.

Also I would add the possibility of calling outside sources from the thinkscript code, this will help connect thinkscript to many other languages and platforms.

Would using the Analyze tab resolve this? At the bottom they gives you the option to change the Model used, and updates in real time

I have had a think or swim account for about 6 years and I know there is a ton more bells and whistles in in that any other platform. I hate! hate! hate! that you cant customizes the active trader widow so you can see the bid ask columns better. All the energy spent in putting a stupid mine sweeper game into think or swim and you cant even customize things so you can see them. I can only use the black background with think or swim as my eyes get strained with the lighter color backgrounds. If you use the black background you can barely see the only the one and only dark orange block that is non customizable that is the last price sold on the active trader. The one and only reason I use Think or swim is because they have direct in and out ACH banking
For active traders Ninjatrader blows Think or Swim out of the water.. but no Ninja Brokers have in out ACH ...

Can someone translate the attached Ninjatrader code to TOS, (was originally by Jabeztrading)? it Creates the Cyan, Magenta and Blue boxes in the image. I tweaked it a bit, but not sure how to translate it to TOS.

Thanks,

John

Thank you for the indicator code John.
It is not possible to convert it to tos code in full details....
Here's the piece of code that plots upper and lower boundaries on the chart..

Code

declare upper;
input CongestionZoneBars 2;
def UpDownpattern =  ( (Close[1] > Open[1]) or (Close[1] >= Open[1] && Close[1]>(((High[1]-Low[1])*0.5)+Low[1]))  ) && Close[0] < Open[0];
def   DownUppattern = ( (Close[1] < Open[1]) or (Close[1] <= Open[1] && Close[1]<(((High[1]-Low[1])*0.5)+Low[1]))  ) && Close[0] > Open[0];
def  Upperboundary = if UpDownpattern then highest(HighCongestionZoneBars) else  Upperboundary[1];
plot ub = if upperboundary == 0 then high else upperboundary;
def Lowerboundary = if DownUppattern then lowest (LowCongestionZoneBars) else Lowerboundary[1];
plot lb = if lowerboundary == 0 then low else lowerboundary

Yes, it shows where conditions are met and keeps found values until conditions met again. When price is inside the channel it means conjestion mode is coming

I can't seem to find anywhere online (or here) how to get ThinkScript to automatically draw numerous trendlines on the chart for me. Can this even be done? I'd really appreciate a reply from someone who knows for a fact.

My request for a trendline is actually simpler than normal. I would want it to plot a line based on a single point (swing high or swing low) and an angle. If it can't be done this way, then what about the traditional 2- point way?

Thanks!

the default vwap indicator comes only with 1 sd band. so if you would like a second sd band, you would have to load the indicator twice.

the attached indicator has 3 sd bands and also the coloring of the bands:

My request is they allow Futures trading to Canadians......

there is high demand for this as there are so few brokers that do Futures in Canada due to legislation requirements. A few companies much smaller than them do it so not sure why ToS can't

It seems like this should be brought up to TOS, directly. May be there's a business reason, or Canadian trade regulation. Have you asked them?

Hello - I am hoping to get help on a simple TOS indicator.
Let's say I have a ES 1 min chart.
I would like to track the new high and low of the day, starting at a configurable time, say 10am.
ie, a line starts at 10am bar at its low and high, these two lines extend horizontally upto the right edge of the y axis.
If the next bar has a new high, then then HIGH line gets updated to the new high price level and so on.
Similarly for the low.

I hope the explanation is clear. Thanks much in advance!

Yes, I have asked multiple times. Unfortunately all I can on the phone is the first line support person. They just say they have chosen not to offer it but many customers have requested it and will forward my request up to their managers. So I have no idea if they are forwarding it.

I do know the regulatory space is more complex in Canada with each province but IB and RJO have set up offices in Canada and offer Futures to all Canadians. There area number of US based brokers who offer Futures to Canadians which is one route I am also exploring.

It is frustrating that the ToS platform is the best one I have found but doesn't allow it even though TD is a Canadian company they don't offer services to Canadian clients... If anyone knows a contact at TD Waterhouse higher up the food chain to contact let me know

Can anyone help with coding the following VWAP studies for ToS:

1) An intraday VWAP that acts as a moving average on a shorter time frame, for example a 30-minute, 60-minute, 120-minute, etc. VWAP, but one that is still anchored to the session open, so the calculation begins at 9:30am EST.

2) A rolling VWAP that can be set to a higher time frame, e.g. 2-day, 30-day, 1-year, etc.; similar to #1 in that it is a moving average, but it isn't 'anchored' to anything.

3) An anchored version of #2 that I can set to begin on a certain date, for example a daily VWAP that I can set to begin on a certain date.

Thanksó

I suggest that you explore platforms like Sierra and MultiCharts with a variety of data feed that could give you the full data that you are seeking.

Thanks,

Hello,
This request involves thinkorswim.
I would like the option of being able to paint rows in the "option chain" at any strike price that would stay until I remove them or expiration. This would help keep track of any interesting options at a glance.
Also, If there is a way to create alerts based off of volume.

Thanks and happy new year.

Earth to Omaha, come in.

Redesign the back-end so that charts are created on our local machines. Serving up charts from the TD servers is reliably inconsistent. Or, consistently unreliable.

Earth out.

Since I can't edit my 9/8/18 rant, let my humbly retract it here. I was in the throes of a shit fit after the OnDemand experience. After calming down, I realized the gravity of my request in terms of man-hours. Especially if features like saved drawing sets were to be retained on the local machine. Saved drawing sets is one of the best features in the software's history.

With that said, some reasonable requests:

Account selection should include a paper account option. (no restart required).

Fix volume profile. Fix it at least to the level of NT8, whereby we can have a 1m resolution result display on any chart (other than a 1m chart). Maybe it can be accomplished by using the same routines that are used to display a daily period MA on an intraday chart? The ability to specify a period begin/end for a profile would make it twice as useful.

Increase the curve qty limit on the fibonacci retracement tool setup. To avoid a scrolling window, the curve list could be moved to one side of the setup window, and the other settings moved to the other side. maybe bump it up to 25?

After years of use I have found very little wrong with TOS. For me the biggest issue currently is the active trader window frequently showing blank bid sizes during times when trades happen between the bid spread. Maybe expanding the thinkscript code interaction with the platform would also be nice.

I am looking for an alert when price crosses a study, specifically the PriceChannel study in TOS for a basket of futures on the daily chart. I use both a 20 day upper/lower and a 40 day upper/lower pricechannel. How do I create an alert system in TOS for a 20/40 day low or high cross of the PriceChannel indicator?
Many thanks for your help!!

Only outstanding request I have is the ability to invert tick-based charts.

Can currently invert time-based charts by adding the (-) symbol in front, but doesn't work for tick charts

1. Ability to create custom hotkeys for selling. Ability to sell a percentage of my current share size with a hot ket.
2. A position option. The ability to sell 0 - 100% of my position. I don't want to manually calculate the share sizes position. If I dispose of 25% of my position it should know I have 75% remaining with a position drop down option.
3. The ability to specify exactly how much money I would like to spend on a trade. I Would like to enter for example $5,000 in order to buy X amount of shares. I don't care how many shares that equates to, its the dollar amount that I am concerned about.

I have been using TOS for many years and many things have gotten better over time . I do like renko charts and wish they would allow one to use unirenko like other platforms have like sierra and trade station to name a couple .
