I have been a satisfied customer of TOS for 3 years now. I will just like to bring to your attention that I know of at least 20 traders who have small account at TOS so that they can benefit from EXCELLENT charting package of TOS. Since , TOS does not provide tick data for their Volume profile study, they are forced to use another broker.
All of the traders would rather have their account with TOS but their hands are tied. More importantly, i keep a journal at https://nexusfi.com/ ( it is a free trading community of 2,000 traders). I must have gotten at least 30 inquiries over last 3 months asking me if TOS provides tick data for Volume profile.
I think TOS is missing out on lot of potential customers.
In my reply to the TOS rep, I explained that I'd like nothing better than to keep using TOS for my futures trading, but the lack of actual tick data is problematic (with respect to Volume Profile). I explained that I have another broker for futures trading, but it would be my preference to keep all my accounts / activity with TDA / TOS...
I'm guessing the change will happen, but it would be nice to have an ETA though...
Most definitively, TOS is one the best all-around platforms available. I will not go into the reasons I feel this way, but one of the lesser ones is that I have it open now, on a Mac, with no virtualization needed. Pretty cool...

Looks like TOS has improved their Monkey Bar (TPO) indicator a bit. You can now select the color of the numbers in your profile as opposed to having it set to an automatic color scheme. They've also added the initial balance. Still a world behind in most areas but definitely moving forward to the point where this can be used. It would be nice if they allowed you to split sessions and extend the naked POC's and VA's but one thing at a time I guess as they're speaking to a wide audience of traders. You can draw them manually of course, which I did below on the CL chart. Just make sure to use the "Pan" tool to scroll around the chart.
CL TPO with custom tick size of .05 (5 ticks) which also required a lot of zooming and manipulating of the chart to make it legible but it is possible.
And here's the ES profile with a custom tick setting of .50 (2 ticks). Same thing here, you have to manipulate the screen but can get it to look pretty decent.
Also, you can do the same thing with the volume profiles through the same process of manipulating the screen.
Just thought I would share that for those that have been attempting to use TOS with these indicators and have been frustrated. They appear to be making attempts to improve their platform.

You're welcome! Yeah, I've had a TOS account for a few years. I use them for mainly swing trades and options trading. Their platform is definitely getting better but agree that they need to provide tick data.
I'm new to using volume/TPO profiles, but I can see why it is so essential to trading. I was happy to see they added the initial balance as well, but I am confused as to why this can be adjusted. The default setting is 3, can anyone tell me what that means? Thanks
I see this thread went dead over a year ago, is anyone still using this method on TOS? I'm wanting to start, but wonder if the data is good, since so many have said they don't use tick data. But like I said, that was over a year ago, anyone still here?
