TOS had some major updates recently. Particularly adjustable vertical size of the indicator subgraphs, something I wish was done years ago. Finally here. Also range bar charts now available.

Very good to see what they've done lately with the platform updates and should bode well for the future. Coupled with my moving to slightly larger time frames, less fine granularity, I'll ignore their slightly higher commission rates and keep them as our backup broker.

Yes, I'd always liked the multifeatured ability of TOS. I'm glad TD Ameritrade has now taken the TOS platform seriously. And their feeds are much better now. Here's another update email I just got, now with a pairs-trading tab area:

TOS really is the closest I've found to a decent all-in-one solution. Have moved over to using their charting/scanning/watchlists exclusively but am holding out for them to lower their commissions a bit, to use their brokerage more than just minimally.

ThinkorSwim is great. The platform just keeps getting better and better.
I'm excited to try the new pairs trader. I have the default ES/NQ up for right now.
Looks good for some range flips/fades.

ToS gets some heat around here for lagging price but I've done pretty well with this lagging price.
Just like it's not the indicator, it's the trader...it's also not the platform, it's the trader.
Price and the DOM seem to work well for me.

If a trader is only trying to scalp 4 ticks or less than it's probably not for him/her.
But you can be a successful futures trader on this platform trading 5, 12, 40 ticks etc.

This trader by the name of Cire, used to post his CL and 6E trades online
using ToS. He was using 1-3 lots and making anywhere from 1-8k/day. He
didn't have very many losing days but those days were usually 1k or less.
He was boss. I'm sure he still trades but doesn't have much use for the forums anymore.

I know one gripe some traders have is the commissions. I'm at $2.50 a turn. That works for me.

Would you clarify please.. Is that $5.00 round turn for ES, 6E and CL? Thanks.

Yes, $5 round trip.

I know if you make over 400 trades a month you automatically get $2.50/per turn or less.
I also think it has to do with how much capital you bring to the table. I make about 40 trades
or less/month.

Also, note I was able to negotiate before ToS was bought by TDA.
I don't know their up to date policies on negotiations.
