I currently use TOS for charts because I have way to many custom studies and Infinity Futures DOM to trade with. It does come with their version of the Sierra charts included as long as you make 10 round trips trades a month for free. I also pay a data feed of $6 per market or 3 markets for $15. Plus a substantially lower commission then TOS so check them out. They only trade futures no stocks or anything else. You can check out there sim charts and Dom 30 day trail without even talking with anyone by going to their site. It is as close to real I have found.

Sent from my iPhone using futures.io

I appreciate the input, I've already looked at Infinity and they seem like a good group, but I'm not sure that's what I'm looking for at this time.

I also have a total of five (5) brokerage accounts at this time, each with their own purposes.

I forgot to mention that I can trade equity options with my ML Edge account, so I may just do away with TDA/TOS altogether and use Sierra Charts as my main platform.

I've just used TOS for so long and there are lots of functionalities in the platform that I like. I gave them an ultimatum on dropping the commissions or I'm gone.

We shall see if they play ball or not.

Good news, I finally was able to get TDA to drop all of my commissions for all futures products that brings them in line with other brokers.

It took moving one equity position to another broker, multiple emails, calls and some sweet talking, but they did it.

I moved from TOS to NT8 last year for futures trading. NT8 is lighter and is lightning fast compared to TOS and their commissions are high.

It was good for paper trading live futures with zero cost. I still maintain the account for equities.

Will you share where the rate ended up for you? Mine is currently $1.25 + fees per contract, one-way. Curious if you were able to do better. My NinjaTrader rate is $0.53 plus fees, so ToS' "best rate" they gave me isn't so spectacular. I'll be doing most of my Futures trading on Ninja anyway, so I'm not going to pick a fight with ToS.

It's business between they and I and I prefer to keep it that way, no offense to you.

They're still my highest commission priced broker, but not much more than one listed in my profile.

You should be able to guess who's the next highest and the difference isn't much at all.

I've recently opened an account with S5 Trading and I must say they are VERY competitive with their commissions.

In the beginning of this thread users spoke of lag in data on TOS even up to 15 seconds. Is this still the case? A lag in data, but no lag in quotes?

Yes, I definitely see this type of data and quotes lag periodically. It doesn't happen with any other data feeds I use.

I like TOS because of the ShadowTrader chat room and the TOS options tools.

Just wondering, I am having issues with the DOM only showing the current bid and ask, is there any way to fix this?

Wondering if TOS still shows a lag in futures data at this point in time?

Trying to pick a platform for my futures trades...

I don't notice a lag in general as far as data in the DOM goes I've tested it side by side with Ninja and matches well.

But it is definitely slow on response for order submission and execution. Now I'm talking fractionally but enough that it's uncomfortable if you're used to a true futures platform. Can't say if it's just on the screen vs the actual order getting in and executed or not. But I'm trying it out for a bit to see how it goes.

My guess is that it will have problems in high volatility even more so than other platforms.

It lacks good trade management capabilities for auto scaling and stop movement too. Very simple in that regard.
