HI,

Thank you all involved in VSA study creation/modification and documentations. You guys have done huge favor to people who is learning VSA and who are using it for trading.

I am just wondering, has anybody attempted to design a stock scanner based on VSA.... like possiblelongstocks and possibleshortstocks?

I am in the process of understanding the thinkscript code and then will code scanners......

Thank you guys

Hi guys,

I was searching google for ideas similar to what i found in my trading experiences. I was also looking for code that impliments VSA related studies in TOS, and i found bigmiketrading. You guys have done a fantastic job (espcially marcovth) from my limited reading of this thread. The thread has grown long, and have browsed a bit of first and last pages. I wonder what are the conclusions of this discussion thread. Which message contains the final VSA script for TOS ? I would like to continue this discussion further, since the last post seems several months old.

I am glad i have found a forum where high quality traders are hanging out. I want to thank all those who have contributed the script for VSA in this thread. With this type of analysis, retailers are able to create the type of analysis that is only available in professional trading desk software. When a group of people work together, the result is better than a lone brain working alone to solve a problem. With that in mind, i hope we can keep this thread alive, and keep bettering the script, and share further ideas.

Wishing you all happy holiday season - ns.

I finished reading the last 10 pages of this thread, in an effort to find the TOS scripts that maybe final versions. First of all i want to thank to all those who contributed (tony, snowcloud, stockjock and others i dont remember). As my contribution, i want to tell you guys that i found that 'karthik' has started a seperate website for his VSA studies. I found this info through his blog at vpanalysis.blogspot.com. I am newbie here, and i can not post the whole link, just add www in front. (I have to split my reply into 2 to get me to the 5 message limit soon). I am assuming that it is the same karthink who posted into this thread. But some people do not want his techniques exposed maybe ? His website has been loaded with viruses now, and google is stopping entry into his site now. If anyone is in touch with karthik, let him know of this, so that he can remove the virus, and we can take a look at his latest work. Please update any further info on him, into this thread.

In my limited reading of this thread, it seems like the group has agreed upon a few scripts as the most useful. VSA version 1.08 (snowcloud ?) seems to be one of them. I am a trader, who has a strategy based on seperating the VSA into timechunks, and would appreciate if someone can point me to the best script, that uses this type of analysis. I am yet to load all the scripts into my TOS and tryout, but i wanted to post a thanks here first. I wish a great trading year ahead, for all those who contributed into the scripts.

If anyone here has tried all the scripts that are available in this thread, can you point me out to a few that are most useful to someone who uses basic VSA principles ? I understand the concepts having read the fundamental books on this subject. I do manual analysis everyday, with a birds eye view of the charts in multi timeframe, to figure my strategies for future. So, i would like those scripts that help in my analysis. Since there are so many scripts (some without annotation on what each color/indicator/band means), it would be useful if someone can post the message ID of a select few for me to start with.

Thanks again to this group.

nsamuel: I don't know if this helps or not, but I too am new to the forum and have been spending a lot of time going through numerous OUTSTANDING threads. Sometimes I just scroll through a thread (some are quite long) and look at the bottom of each entry for any attachments. There you will find legends and code that has not been posted in the download area. This is equilivant to skimming through a book. Once you have finished your skimming then you should have a much better idea about where you want to devote your time and energy.

Just some thoughts...

Thanks donstar. i did not get much time to read further over last week, but just trying out that code in attachment on my ES chart shows that, i need to still apply my brain, and can not blindly trade on the signals and colors. I think the ability to set the analysis to focus on certain times of the day is most useful, for people who are trading european session or asia. Combining different time zone volumes and basing analysis on that is not the best way in my opinion. There was one person in this thread who attempted something along these lines, but i am yet to understand his study, as the explanation was not clear. If all the people in this thread have moved onto other interesting threads, please let me know which threads are best, so i can jump in with you guys. I am new to this forum, and love the quality of people who hang out here.
