Not sure if I'm in the right area and sorry if I'm not. I am thinking about changing from trade to ToS brokerage and was wondering since so many of indicators are wrote for NT is there a way to convert NT to Tos charts? Thanks for any help

You have to reprogram them, there is no "conversion" process. You need to be a programmer.

In general , a lot of indicators can be translated to TOS thinkscript from Ninjascript. If you need an indicator translated, you can post the question in the ThinkorSwim section. There are probably more than a few good thinkscripters on futures.io (formerly BMT). In some ways Thinkscript is simpler in that in that the language is inherently recursive, more of a functional than a procedural language, and one can create a plot or function with one line. Its limitations compared to Ninja are that there are far less bells and whistles for customized graphic effects and icons and it's a more limed and closed system. Here's a site with plenty of free script indicators. https://www.thinkscripter.com (the "fattails" of TOS ;And TDA is constantly updating ThinkOrSwim and there are a bunch of new indicators continually added to the studies library even some which are licensed and proprietary such as DeMark's. (where the code is closed and not viewable).

The one I was mostly was interested in playing with was PerryG webinar on Fracticals, but was just wondering how hard it was to do. I have been just playing with Tos just for a few days but really like there charts compaired to etrade and great costomer service. The only downside at this time is they wont have the forex and futures turned on till a few months. Thanks for you help

forex and futures are alive and well with TOS and have been for the 3+ years I've been with them.

This could explain it. Massive and I must still have pre-merger ThinkOrSwim accounts that are still cleared with Penson or some interim entity. I recall an email about it during the merger period. And that TDA were going to offer futures also. Didn't know it wasn't ready for solely TDA account customers new to the TOS platform yet, sorry. Yet it seems odd because on the TDA website it looked like they already did.

Well that seems odd. I've been since the thinkorswim days but have been able to trade Forex & Futures with TD ever since the merger, it never stopped. The TD website also promotes Forex and Futures as if it where ready to go:
https://www.tdameritrade.com
https://www.tdameritrade.com

Maybe there was a problem with getting permission to trade on the account?

THey did leave me a bit confused when you use the software it told me 3rd qaurter but on the phone I can setup and use now, so Im transfering accounts as we speak. I have to say the charting is so so much better than etrade. I have been playing with the paper trade mode and mostly using the buy and sell market could you comment on what your slippage you have with TOS? I also noticed sometimes like a freeze or delay on mosty the YM , is this normal , compairing to my clock on computor. THanks
ps I have a 3mbit connection
