I'm not a win7 user but w/ XP/2k you can do a restore from the OS disk where all of your data remains intact. At least look into running SFC (system file checker).

I'll check to see if she has the disk, thanks for the heads up.

I am still hopeful Rithmic will fix things so I can run Sierra Charts on Ubuntu.....

My focus is on:
1. Avoid the opening chop.
2. Honor stops
3. Ensure reward > risk on all trades

@papa15

Sierra Charts runs on Linux doesn't it?

Is it just a problem with Rithmic?

Is Rithmic a datafeed?

I'm just a simple man trading a simple plan.

Yes. SC does start under Linux. I just can't get the Rithmic data feed to work. Rithmic claims it will be fixed this month when they release an updated API....

I remember when Windows 1 came out... looked like they had copied the Apple Mac GUI ... only it didn't work very well. 20+ years later looks like they copied the iPhone GUI.

How long can they continue to not be innovative? No wonder their stock hasn't moved in a decade.

Sorry for the rant... was channeling MetalTrader ...

That's really what Microsoft is good at - acquiring/copying, not innovating.
