I've got a wmv file created by GoToWebinar, and I need to remux/re-encode/transcode this to mp4 because Camtasia is having trouble handling the file (exact error "Abnormal buffer settings which may cause production problems, for best results transcode this video before importing into Camtasia").
I've tried VLC to transcode/convert. I've also tried AviDemux2. Neither are working, both have problems.
The source WMV plays fine, but it needs to be an MP4 in order for me to easily embed it online in our webinar section. I am looking for some recommendations for converting/transcoding software.
Bigmike, do you have a mac computer? I use handbrake (Free) to convert video files which works very well. They have a other clients but I haven't used them: HandBrake If you still have issues post the wmv online and I'll pull it down and see what I can do tonight.
@BigMike - Any chance you'd want to save the webinars in iPad format? I'd love to be able to watch them when sitting in the car waiting for soccer practice to end, and other times when I'm away from my desk. I don't know all the technical details, but I know Camtasia has the ability to produce in iPad format.
Perhaps I do need an Android! It may very well be the "better" platform. But for now, I have an iPad.
According to the site below, (an Android enthusiast site), the iOS tablets will remain around 50% of the market for quite some time. I just thought BigMike might want to keep his forum easily accessible to that much of the market as the tablet market continues to explode.
