I had call and talked to ninja ask why when I do a global shared drawing like a trend like on a lager time frame chart like 16 range and it not show right on the smaller timeframe on the 4 range while I was removing indicators I looked and the days to load on all charts was 730 even on the 4 range chart I guess while I was with ninja I forgot some of the changes that where made. But even with just those indicators it still sluggish to change instruments. Could maybe be as simple as my internet connection . I did speedtest on speakeasy and 15mbps download and 11.45mbps upload but I was reading on some other posts that jitters in the internet connection can be a big problem and I have one of those line of site towers to access the internet I got the fastest they offered 5ghz.
I tried to put this in a new thread, but I don't know what happened after I clicked submit. So here it is.
The time has come for me to get a Windows 7 PC dedicated to trading futures with Ninja and a good RT data feed. My questions mainly concern 1) the right computer builder and 2) getting the right video card for running 3 monitors right off the bat, and potentially a fourth some day.
1) The Right Computer Builder
I've priced a Core i7 F-22 system from Falcon. It's going to run me about $1780 from them (I want my boot drive to be solid state, and I want a video card that can handle up to 4 monitors)
Apparently this forum thinks Falcon makes great stuff but their prices are outrageous. Falcon doesn't tell you exactly what video card you are getting.
I have also priced a powerful i7 system from cyberpowerpc.com. They are cheaper, but they are very much geared toward gaming and so I'm a little reluctant to go that route. Can I count on their tech support to be as good as Falcon's?
2) The Right Video Card for 3-4 monitors
From the thread last year, I think Big Mike was saying that DisplayPort monitors are the way to go for multi-monitor set ups. For some reason when you throw a DVI connection in the mix things can get disruptive sometimes? Anyway... if that's true, I think I want to get a video card with a DisplayPort output. Sound good?
a. Is it true I can daisy chain 3 monitors from one DisplayPort in one Eyefinity video card? If so....
b. Here is an Eyefinity video card I was looking at:

This card supposedly can support up to 6 DisplayPort v. 1.2 capable monitors.

Would it be worth it to just get the cheapest video card available from the computer builder (or no video card) and install the one I want myself?

From what I have learned in my computer experience buy good quality parts and build it your self and don’t use adapters unless absolutely necessary. You gain so much knowledge and aren’t be Holden to someone across state or country to fix your computer. Also I have 8 Dell U2410 no complaints on the monitors other than the heat they put off 2 to 4 wont be to much of a problem but when you get to 6 and 8 there is a considerable amount of heat and the next set of monitors I buy I will have to have seen them on and operating and touched them with my hand to see the heat level. My video cards are nvidia with dual DVI. I have never used display ports, no reasons just haven’t. I had to add more case fans to keep it cool with all the video cards being stack in close together. Me personally I wouldn’t pay any one to just build the computer I would pay someone to help me build it like I did I was there hands on every step of the way learned a lot. It my cost a little more because of the extra time since the tech is having to talk you through it but the knowledge and confidences you gain is worth it.
I have six U2412M's, LED, and researched the heat and energy usage prior to purchasing specifically due to the heat issue. I can tell you that while they still put off a lot of heat, it is considerably less than the traditional LCD from a few years ago.
I am also 100% with you on adapters. I am using AMD Radeon cards so I can have native DisplayPort, which matches up to the U2412M interface, without any conversion.
I'm pretty sure my exact config is already in this thread a few times, but briefly, I've owned the Radeon HD5870 and HD7870 Eyefinity 6's and they have too many problems, so I went back to tried and true FirePro 2460's. Each has 4xMini-DisplayPort, so I needed two cards. They are passive single slot cards, so take the same amount of space as an Eyefinity 6 card, but are silent and produce far less heat. I bought them off ebay for about $150 each.
I am also considering a display card with Eyefinity technology since I wish to have 6 monitors output at the same time.
But I worry that the computer will become very slow afterward, as too many thing display on the screen.......
May I know which hardware is most important to ensure the computer can run very smooth.....?
