I have 1 new monitor samsung 24''
S24A450MW - OVERVIEW | SAMSUNG
I need another 4 monitors, which do you recommend (native DisplayPort)?
give me an example of cables that I need to run the best of my graphics card?
passive adapters?
active adapters?
an image to understand what they are and the difference between passive and active adapters?
HDMI Cable, Home Theater Accessories, HDMI Products, Cables, Adapters, Video/Audio Switch, Networking, USB, Firewire, Printer Toner, and more!
in my case with the Samsung S24A450MW that cable should I buy?

I am aware of my ignorance and I apologize for asking too many questions that I offer.

Thanks to all those who want to help. SEW

Just make sure the other 4 monitors have native displayport, then you don't need any active adapters, then THESE cables or similar are fine.

As for the adapter for your Samsung monitor, I might have an ADAPTER lying around, I'll have a look.

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Display- ASUS PA238Q
could do for me?
is compatible with my samsung S24A450MW ?

I also purchased Monitor Desk Stand Ergotron DS100 Quad

The Asus seem to be native DP which is good. But I don't know how good they are and if they are compatible with your stand....I don't know a lot about monitors other than I love mine

You can't use 4 of the Samsung you have as that doesn't support DP and if you want to use more than 2 non-DP monitors you need active adapters costing around $100 each....so get monitors with native DP .

You can still use your Samsung and 3 new ones if they fit together nicely, compatibility is no issue, you just need an adapter for the Samsung.

If the money is no issue, I find it always nicer to have identical monitors, but as you already have one, that is rather luxury than necessity....

You only need active adapters if they are not native DP (DisplayPort)! If they are, you are fine...
I wouldn't play around with anything else than DP (except for the one monitor you have, that is).

No, for some obscure reason you need 3 for 4 monitors...and 5 for 6 monitors.
But trust me, you are very likely to run into trouble with any configuration where more than one monitor is not native DP.....at least that is my experience.
Also you wouldn't save a lot if you had to buy 5*$30 adapters to keep the monitor you have as opposed to replacing that....

My experience as well. Ended up just getting new DisplayPort monitors to solve all the adapter problems of non-DP monitors.

hi Mike,
hi vvhg,
Dell monitors U2412M 3 + 1 Samsung S24A450MW
I ask you could be a solution?
I have problems changing the brand and image resolution monitor (Dell+Samsung)?
my support is for 4 monitor
Ergotron DS100 Quad Monitor Desk Stand.

I would love to have this but it costs too much
Monitor TFT 23" wide SyncMaster MD230X6 (8 ms)
SAMSUNG

In general the Dell U2412M looks fine to me, but I cannot say anything about quality (don't forget: viewing angles) or price....
I also don't know if the Dell and your Samsung will fit onto that stand together as their dimensions are slightly different.
