After the next successful start, I will reset the unit back to factory default and reapply the updates. If the problem still exists, I will return the unit to amazon.

My cousin had the infamous "sleep of death" bug, late in June some Windows 10 updates seem to have fixed his. There is hope.

Looking to take an elongated trip with the family but still would like to trade in the mornings. Do not want to bring my desktop and computer monitors with me. I can get most of what I need on my laptop, and maybe one additional small monitor. I had heard of renting computer time on virtual computers, so all my computer would have to do it link via wifi to run my "computer" remotely. Has anyone had experience with virtual computers? I would link remotely to my home computer, but we often lose power, and would be out until I return to reboot my computer.

Any suggestions of what others have done on extended trips?

Thank you,
Peter

teamviewer had and maybe still have security issues, to be avoided. It's funny to see your mouse moving while you didn't invited anymore and don't touch it (a friend had this few weeks ago), but no...
Using Microsoft RDP, after having set a complex password and good firewall rules (in checking which network(s) is used by your 3G/4G provider).

Speaking for myself; I've never had a problem in many years of using it.

I am looking at the below configuration on an Ultrabook for my Trading with Ninjatrader (With TopStepTrader).

7th Generation Intel Core i3-7100U Processor (2.4GHz, 3MB L3 Cache)
14" Full HD (1920 x 1080) Widescreen LED-backlit Display
4GB DDR4 Onboard Memory, 128GB SSD
Windows 10 Home

Is this enough or should I go for a higher Memory and i5 Processor. This falls into my budget. Currently I work on a desktop with 8GB Ram and 4th Gen i5 Processor.

Please advice..!!

I had a lenovo x1 i7 with 8gb ram and my ninjatrader used to push that to the limit...I upgraded to an x1 with 16gb ram and everything was fine.

I personally would do 8gb ram minimum.

hope this helps!

Johnny

I second 8GB ram. can't have enough plus a SSD is a big help. I bought a laptop for trading on the go and found this configuration suitable for running Sierra Charts.

15,6" Asus P2530U with i5 6600U Skylake processor,
8GB Ram, and EVO-850 SSD
running windows 10 home
