Just found this, the Nova mATX case.

Delete the handle and it actually looks really nice, and super high quality:

Mike

It does look high quality, the website is very slick.

I like that the last they've show the case with a Noctua cooler, one of the best and quietest...

This is a good mini-ITX build:

Ncase M1 mini-ITX
Seasonic Snow Silent 750W ATX
Gigabyte GA-Z170N-Gaming 5
Intel i7-6700k
AMD R9 Nano
Samsung SM951 512GB NVMe SSD

Kept searching, looks like the Silverstone SFX-L SX500-LG PSU is likely a better choice. I love Seasonic, but this build doesn't need anywhere near 750W. The Silverstone is a Sirfa OEM and they have good reviews.

The problem with this build comes down to being limited to 512GB of NVMe. Otherwise it seems like an ideal build.

I looked around my workstation drive and found that I could move 200GB off it by moving one folder, so I think I could live with the 512GB limitation and keep the usable under 80%.

Pulled the trigger on the NCASE M1. Need more time to decide the remaining parts, I want to see what the Asus Impact ITX offers towards end of this month or early October.

Be interested to hear what you make of the case when it arrives

I'm in the same boat, trying to decide if I go with a Skylake configuration with 4 cores, or build a system with a Haswell 4 or 6 cores.
I'm looking for quiet cases, a compact mid tower would be best. These are the cases I had in my Amazon wish list when researching a couple of months ago before I went on vacation:

- Cooler Master Silencio 352 - Silent Mini Tower Computer Case SIL-352M-KKN1
Amazon.com: Cooler Master Silencio 352 - Silent Mini Tower Computer Case SIL-352M-KKN1: Computers & Accessories

It's so cheap that I'm worried about the quality, although my main concern is that it's quiet.

The other one in my wish list is this:

- Nanoxia Deep Silence 4 Mini Tower Case Fits Micro-ATX Motherboard, Large Water Cooler Ready, with 6 Fan Controllers - Black
Amazon.com: Nanoxia Deep Silence 4 Mini Tower Case Fits Micro-ATX Motherboard, Large Water Cooler Ready, with 6 Fan Controllers - Black: Computers & Accessories

I haven't built a system for a while as I keep postponing. Now that Windows 10 is out, I think it's a good time to build a new system with a clean installation. Any comments, suggestions are welcome.

It will be a while. A friend is letting me import on his commercial container, which ships at end of September. Then customs, etc, it will be early November probably before I put my hands on it.

Yeah I saw that too, will be using that in my new build. I guess the 1TB model isn't out until next year

So the new Asus ROG Maximus VIII Impact mini-ITX doesn't have M.2, only U.2 --- which means no Samsung 950 Pro NVMe support.

Was waiting for this board because it was such a good mini-itx board last generation. Now I have to start my search all over!
