NT8 is designed for threading across all available cores, this includes cores on multiple processors. If you had 2 of the Intel Xeon E5-2670 processors in one system, NT8 would see this as 16 available cores and could utilize all 16 these cores. NT8 does have Windows manage the threads. Meaning it will utilize the cores with the least amount of utilization, if another application is already utilizing that core it will try and locate a core with less utilization.

During hi volatility, my computer lag!!!
Impossible to take position ...

I have cpu 2gigashertz bought in 2007 with (4*2gigas)of 800mhz memory... It is not sufficient i think
8 gigas hertz

My internet connection: 12 mégas with 30 ms ( ping): not so bad...

If i bought a new computer e5-2670 v3 xéon with 32 gigas:
Will it change something?

Anybody in my situation?
I have 3 laptop with 3 graphs with 15 indicators each which come from BT Website.

Wow. My cell phone is faster. Literally, faster. (Quad core 2.5Ghz, 3GB ram).

I think the user was asking for recommendations not minimum requirements. It's safe to say, the recommendation should always be to buy the fastest system you can afford to build. Emphasis on a fast SSD, at least 8GB of memory, and fast CPU. The video card is the least important for traders, after considering its multi-monitor support.

Ty/is it bécause of the lack of cpu powerful or bécause of my internet connection speed (ping)?

Depending of the indicators coding quality, bar type used, COBC or not, 15 indicators can be way too much, whatever the CPU type.
I doubt you have 30 ms from your your data feed provider, unless it's in Europe. An high latency has nothing to do with freeze, you'll only receive the price data late.
Check with a Perfomance Monitor where the problem first: CPU usage by NinjaTrader.exe, disk queue and latency, overhall memory usage, ...

Ty very Much
It is a such quickly response!!!!!
(I dont Know if This sentence is correct...)

I have tested my ping on a Website googling "test adsl", something like that. But i ignore the server used...
Lag=late so i have not used the good Word to explain What it has happened!!!

During high volatility like 2 days ago (not really very often), i dont Remember the last time before this week...
It was as if my computer was blocked, and 3 secondes later, 70 ticks at the same time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To explain What happened : my cursor looks like hourglass or eggtimer in english, in french it is "sablier"...
My computer calculate, think....

During 5 secondes - 50 tifs at the same time - normal feed - block during 4 secondes - 20 ticks - normal feed....

About cpu ninjatrader usage, windows shows 56%, bécause i have two cores but nt7 manages only one core (except during backtesting...)
My cpu is busy, it is My opinion.
And 3.5 gigas of memory (i have 8 gigas)

My cpu seems to be busy bécause it is old and the fréquency is not High: 800Mhz
Nowadays, a computer uses 2133Mhz memory.........

Is it correct'?
Have u understood?
I hope so!

YES, anybody running NT7 suffers from lag. NT7 was designed in the rock-age of CPUs (one CPU, one core). It assumes it has the entire core to work with, and this is NOT realistic in today's computing environment. If you have 4 cores and 8 threads, it will use one of the cores or one of the threads, whichever is smallest. So if you have 8 threads, go to the bios and disable them, so it can at least use one of the 4 cores. More memory does not help because it is not the problem. I still have huge lags. Also, there are times when only restarting the entire system will help a "laggy day." Been like this for 2 years now.
NT8 is a broken promise and a broken record (it has been in the making for 3 years now). It may never happen. A "build" is nowhere to be seen, even less an Alpha or Beta version. So just suffer quietly and wait your turn on NT8 or go to another trading app. like Multi-Charts.

Yes 800 Mega-Hz is very slow so you are compounding the problem. An old Intel Core 2 Duo (2008 vintage) would be around 2.66 Giga-Hz. Are you sure you Core speed is correct?
If all is correct at your end, the answer is Yes.

A good place to test internet speed is Speedtest.net by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test - However internet speed is secondary to what your CPU can do.
Are these the specific questions you were looking as an answer?

Hi,

Ty
2 gigashz is my cpu (vintage) speed
8 gigas is my memory (800 MHz) 4*2
But nt7 uses only 3.5 gigashz/8 gigashz available.

Is it ok?

Memory speed has little to do with your machine performance. and NT7 LOVES single dual cpus. so you should be Okay.
The problem could be with you datafeed. who is your datafeed? and did you run an internet test?

Actually, it occured with cqg data feed in demo mode...
I wish to take ninjatraderbrokerage: cqg , rithmic or kinetick...

An opinion?

2 eme question: What is single dual cpu? What does that mean?

Ty
