Oh, and I bought a Silenx fan for the rear of the case. And it is silent. I can barely hear the stock cpu cooler if I try, and there are quieter upgrades available, but it is extremely quiet and I really have to focus to hear anything. The fan was around $7.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
After reading the thread, although I am good with computers, at this stage I will never have the patience for the YouTube, Drivere installation, etc..
I saw the following deal at Costco and for a few hundred $s more I can plunge in directly and hopefully make up for it in trading during the time that would take me to build one. I can't see how I would make this computer cheaper with the component that come with it.
Later I can add one my other graphic cards for more displays and add a SSD. Now, if I could only figure out how to remove the typical bloat works that come will Dell's system.

Yeah, there were good buys out there. I just wanted to build my own. I will have more screens soon, and mostly wanted to know how everything worked so I could make upgrade decisions better in the future.
I have a friend that just bought a custom trade box costing many times what I put out, but, he also did not have to go through the experience. To him, it was worth it. For me, I have a lot of free time, and just like to dig into projects sometimes.
I was recently teased by some friends about being sad that I weedeated (weedate?) right through my squash plants by accident. They said something about I could buy squash at the grocery store... I also used to catch lobster every year, and I know for a fact that cost me way more than going out to dinner. But, just wired that way.
and the prices are very competitive compared to a custom build. Unfortunately, they still don't offer the new Intel i7-4970K Devil's Canyon or the Corsair Obsidian 550D (quiet tower) as options, but may soon be there. I still prefer to build my own but for those that wouldn't like to take the risk (or hassle of DOA parts, etc.) it may be an excellent option (and comes with warranty).
thats why i went with a gaming card for which a water block was available. Radiator fans operate at inaudible speed - end result, completely silent computer (hybrid PSU = no fan noise and SSD's = no moving parts)
