I've read many similar experiences as Gary's in the reviews on the Asus mobo's...

Gary, what type of connectors are you using to the screens? Do these newer chipsets/mobos with 3 screen multi monitor support through IGP actually work well in real use, without issues, flickering, lag, etc?

Other than the power issue, everything did exactly as I expected. I tried VGA, DVI and HDMI, and all were working with no issue. I also re-installed my old video card for troubleshooting, and those outputs worked as well.

I am loading W7 now. When I am done, assuming it works, I will let you know if there is anything I would do differently.

well try things incrementally. - don't worry about cable management etc until you have a working system - then go and cable tie stuff

Last time it was very serious, but this time it is that plus in slow motion and very deliberate with every step. For example, plugging in the fans I used a desk lamp to see inside the case and made a slow precision approach to the pins, push while watching to make sure it seats tight to the mobo

Breathe in, breathe out...

Did you try all 3 of those outputs simultaneously at high res for trading/charting? I am curious to know how well that works off the IGP for our purposes.

I am almost glad things did not go right the first time. I decided to learn about computers in December, and this is an area I had not thought about until it recently became a necessity. The depth required is beyond YouTube.

Yes. I ran HDMI, DVI and VGA off the motherboard simultaneously. I also ran a 4th screen off my old video card thru DVI.

Installing the drivers for Intel Rapid Storage Technology finished, and the restart started cycling BSOD.

What resolutions, and no lag or issues charting? That's impressive for IGP. For just 3 screens then is there any reason to even run an external card if the IGP can do it, and probably using less power/parts to fail than an external card?

I also suspect your mobo, hopefully the new one is good/fixes the issues.

1920 and 16xx something. It went as far as the monitor could handle. I do not have anything 4k.
