I have a computer that I just use for NT. If I'm only running NT is there a need to also have an anti virus software running? I have Trend Micro and when it scans I sometimes see
the CPU usage spike to 90?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Riverend. I have 2 VPS (just like PCs run remotely and we lease them) that runs NT only, but still needed anti virus. As long as "you are connected to Internet", your PC is vulnerable to get virus attack
I use AVG Free Edition. In my opinion it does a really good job. Doesn't take a lot of room up, and I have never had a virus of any kind. You can choose if you want to scan, but I rarely scan because it blocks everything that might be a virus.
