I have a problem which i have been trying to solve for some time without succes.
On my dedicated server MC Strategy Automation does not send orders on my third party indicator to my OEC platform.
It DOES send orders on my own local computer on the same installed indicator. I contacted MC they asked if i had manually make a trade on my OEC platform while Strategy Automation was running which i asnwered yes and that it might be because of this. So then they said there is something with the script of the third party indicator and that the orders doesn't show on the order and position tracker. They said it doesn't generate orders so you need to contact the developer. The developer said there is nothing with the script (which i believe also) because it does work on your own local computer but not on the dedicated server. So he didn't know the solution either.
When i asked MC then why does SA send orders on my own computer? They didn't really know the answer.
I checked all the imputs they are the same as my home computer.
So i thought i ask it here for the experienced trades/technicians and hopefully my problem gets solved with the help of you guys. I am also going to send Steadfast an e-mail why on my server SA doesn't send orders.
Ok i have tryed everything, MC support doesn't know. The server folks don't know and the developer doesn't knpw either why SA does not send orders to my OEC platforn on my windows 2008 R2 server.
They say maybe there is something with security but, firewall has been turned off but didn't help. Unfortunatly i can't trade now since i can't get the solution.
Any suggestions are more than welcome.
Before installing MC on the server. I started the MC chart on my own local computer and my OEC platform on my server. Then i did automation and i worked considering OEC was on the server and mc was on my local computer. Then i installed mc on my own server which then automation didn't work maybe this have caused the issue? Maybe not, but just a tought
The issue wasn't that automation will not place a trade, but that no strategies will even evaluate from a backtest either. Meaning something is very broke with this installation.
I deleted MC completely and inserted the third party indicator where strategy puts orders on to see if i would get backtest results. Which i did indeed.
