just purchased a new samsung 830 SSD and im having a bit of trouble. i did a fresh win7 install on it after i set it to AHCI in the bios from the RAID setting i had previously and now it is showing up as removable media in the win notification center.. im not sure if i need the correct intel drivers, or if i need to keep my other drives unplugged while installing win7 to the ssd.. not sure..
dont believe anything you hear and only half of what you see
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
AFAIK it's always a good idea to unplug all others during installation. Also unselect hot swappable in bios if there is such a setting and make sure you have the latest bios and driver for the SSD.
i did that.. it says there i did the fresh install after i set it..
anyways, ive also heard that you can have it set to raid as well, you just cant have it in an actual array on that controller... also that you should use the intel controller rather than any other 3rd party onboard controller.. my mobo has two.
