Strange, Chrome does not work no my main machine. It always hangs.
I think that probably Google tries to collect information, which is then intercepted by one of the anti-virus programs or Spybot, which are all running in the background.
I have now replaced Chrome with Safari.
What a shame for Google!
Here are the reasons that I use several browsers:
(1) Each of the browsers will open on a different screen. So I use them depending on which screen is available.
(2) Firefox is my standard browser, works pretty well.
(3) Opera has a huge number of websites preloaded for convenience, just takes a little bit longer to open. For Firefox there is an add-on which does the same thing, but it is more convenient with Opera as it is in-built.
(4) Safari will now popup on my left screen.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Recently I have run into trouble with Chrome too. Out of the blue it started to use 100% of both cores.
I have uninstalled and re-installed it just now. Seems to be ok so far.
IE is out of question due to the latest security hole. It has a nice feature though: I often copy text from websites into OneNote and IE is the only browser properly recognizing the language of the text.
Firefox seems to have problems with Twitter: It cannot properly display my timeline.
Funny thing is I just started using chrome just in the last couple weeks and been noticing the same thing but I just hit the home button and it loads and works fine after that.
That being said, in the interest in having something that functions as it should I reinstalled Firefox again and will see if that works better for me now....it was crashing my computer for some reason and I deleted it, maybe I had some corrupted file or something, appears to be functioning correctly at the moment.
