Chrome has no problems, is perfect, and any of you who speak ill of it will be guilty of heresy and be publicly flogged for such blasphemy against the Immaculate Browser.

In all seriousness, Chrome has only ever crashed on me once or twice, and I have zero problems with it generally. Have you tried a simple uninstall and reinstall?

I thought about that but what about TweetDeck?

By the way, for futures.io (formerly BMT) I use Gmail

I have no idea what TweetDeck is, so can't comment.

As for gmail, you are using it within another tab in the same Chrome browser window, yes? And are saying when you click links, it opens a new tab (not a new window) but the URL address bar is empty, and the bottom status bar has no status? And it sits there indefinitely with no error message?

I was also going to suggest disabling all add-ons and seeing if the problem goes away. If it does not, I would also run a Malware scan ( Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware download is good).

It's just the biggest App for Twitter to manage multiple accounts.
Although the biggest, very basic in its options.

Actually, no.
I'm using Outlook. Sometimes I use Chrome itself to access Gmail and... I think I never had any link failure...

No error message what so ever. Blank page, nothing else.

I do love Chrome. Everything sync with my Android phone...

But this problem is becoming quite annoying.

Disabling the add-ons is a good idea.
Malware... it's impossible for it to get in. I have my ESET Internet Security and System Protector from Advanced System Optimizer.

After you disable the add-ons and run a malware scan, if the problem persists, then I would also disable ESET and see if it solves the problem. Obviously something on your system is causing the problem, hopefully with above you can find what it is.

cntrl + H is the shortcut for chrome history

Fat Tails View Post
I use 5 browsers, and only Chrome hangs on start up and stops working. By the way it only rarely happens.

What is more annoying is that I cannot see the browsing history with Chrome. With Firefox I can more easily find the websites that I have frequentl visited.

Thank you...

I HATE SHORT CUTS.

The reason I hate them. There are quite a few words in German that start with a capital "W". To type that letter, I have to use Shift + "W". Unfortunately the Control Key is very close to the Shift key, and sometimes, after having written a long text, I hit the Control Key instead of the Shift Key. Try out and you will understand.

I HATE SHORTCUTS.

I use Ctrl-W non stop, it is fastest way to close a tab. And since I open each new thread/post/website/link in a new tab, I use it hundreds of times daily.

Also, Ctrl-Enter to send mail in Thunderbird, much faster then using mouse for send key. When you send lots of emails it helps I tried to find a way to make Ctrl-Enter work to submit posts on futures.io (formerly BMT), but no luck so far.

Okay then, click the wrench button in the upper right. Then click History. FWIW, I also never use history much so I did not know the shortcut either.

Assigning keyboard shortcuts to a multi-button mouse (I have a logitech performance mx) can do wonders to speed up the browsing process. My wheel left and right are assigned to Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+Shift+Tab so that I can switch tabs with my wheel. My large thumb button is mapped to Ctrl+W to close the current tab. My search button is Ctrl+T to open a new tab. So, without moving my mouse, I can switch tabs, open new tabs, delete tabs, and scroll within the window (with the scroll wheel). It is worth looking into and only takes a day or two to get used to.
