You can do it with Saugkappen, if you have those^^. Here are most of the available monitors in Germany, in that huge menue you can choose panel type (IPS etc).
Dell now has a nice new 24 inch monitor Dell UltraSharp U2412M, so check it out. Dell's U2711 model (27 inches) is probably the best 27 monitor to get (because it is cheap compared to others). But it still costs quite a bit.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Currently I'm using two EIZOs, 16"only but with a resolution of 1280x1024. They are 10 years old and have logged about 40000 hours each and are still ok. But I find myself flipping trough charts a bit too often lately especially since my third monitor - a laptop - has become unusable.
This one caught my attention: Samsung SyncMaster S27A850D. But it is not yet available and so there no reviews. I like its low power consumption compared to that of other 27" and 30" models. Most of this electricity is turned into heat and that can be a nuisance as a buddy of mine confirmed. He uses several 30" Dell monitors.
Another option is this one: Fujitsu P Line P27T-6 IPS. Reviews so far are ok, but at least one user complained about the heat radiation.
Sadly, EIZO is getting increasingly difficult to get in the United States. I don't know what I will do when it comes time (soon) to buy new hardware. Fortunately and unfortunately, I am very choosy over what I buy.
I'm interested in the Samsung, as well. I don't like the design of the Fujitsu.
As I've grown fond of my eyes, I prefer IPS displays. And like you (and @zer0), my favorite is, and probably always will be, EIZOS. But I'm quite curious about the Samsung and their PLS technology, I'm just going to use them as peripheral monitors anyway.
If anyone knows any more about the upcoming Samsung model, please share...
I trade off a 32in hd dytec tv,,,paid 199 for it,on sale at best buy,,,,works great for charts,and anything on interenet,,it was pretty much plug and play,,,and I can see it from anywhere in my cave,,,,you kinda have to set back a little,(ha), it is one hell of a monitor, and cost me alot less then my 21 inch monitor did a few years ago...
Hi I purchased 2 I-INC at tiger direct very well priced. Have been cranked daily for the last year. Sometimes since 4AM ET for the eurosession and then stydying all day after lunch time. Maybe one dead pixel, no biggies. very nice resolution.
I was looking for discounted priced monitors and these 2 came very handy.
Vewry happy with them. Couple of friends, traders also, went for the I-INC. One of them uses them 23hrs a day. No complaints as of now.
At the same time at Costco they had the Samsungs 27" but were more expensive. Very nice option too depending on budget.
