So I am new to trading and like everyone searching for some training. Long story short I have watched a ton of the webinars on here, especially FT71's stuff, and recently ran across the Footprint from MarektDelta. To me it just seems to make sense and things seem like they are starting to "click". Looking into their training though and it is a bit pricey. I don't mind paying if it is worth it, but I haven't had much luck finding any reviews that are current. Has anyone here been through any of the MD training recently? If not MD, can you make any recommendations on some structured training. I tend to do better with a bit of structure, at least at first while learning the concepts. Thanks in advance for the help.

Just some thoughts looking at your post,

First, Windotrader is a nice platform, but expensive. I reckon most retail traders, who are able to choose what platform they want, find Windotrader via Jim Dalton and Market Profile. Jim Dalton is very against looking at ‘tick by tick’ bid/ask type data. If you are following Jim’s teachings you might be better focussing just on that rather than adding stuff. If not and you want to use footprint type charts then Market Delta is excellent but there are also a lot of cheaper alternatives available these days with a lot of the same functionality. (And although Windotrader has footprint chart capability it is very basic).

Regarding the MD Edge course. I have never taken it but I did subscribe to Market Delta for a while and was briefly in Anthony Drager’s room. Market Delta is used by Retail AND Professional traders therefore they would not ally themselves with a trader that wasn’t legit as it would be too damaging to their reputation. I don’t like the ES, which Anthony traded in the room, and he was a very short term trader. The room wasn’t a fit for me. When I cancelled the room after a month he Skyped me to try and sign me up as he was really pushing the Edge course. Probably a year or two back now, in the Elite Member discounts section of this forum, the Edge course was available discounted for Elite Members. The Edge course was something like $4,000-5,000 full price on the Market Delta website and the discount price was about $1,000-1,250. That was a three to four thousand Dollar discount for spending $100 joining Futures.io (or maybe it was then still Big Mike’s forum). The Market Delta discount is no longer listed but I am always wary of things that are so heavily reduced. I am pretty sure I remember reading a post or two on this forum from people saying that the information was fairly basic and it was way overpriced for what you got. I just had a quick look but couldn’t find it easily.

People always say trading is simple but not easy. I haven’t looked to see how much the Edge course is but I really don’t think it is necessary to spend huge amounts of money. Market Delta has a large amount of free videos on how to use their platforms, and there are loads of Anthony Drager presentation webinar on their site, and here too. I think anybody, who isn’t desperate or deluded, accepts that there is no such thing as a magic indicator which means the main thing a course is going to give you is education. I bet you can pick up at least 90% of the information from the free webinars then the rest you work out yourself from actually watching and testing your learning in real time. The only thing you won’t get is any realtime mentorship component but I imagine that is probably only an hour long Edge Group online chat once every couple of weeks or month, or something similar. One could argue how useful that really is going to be and how much value there in getting probably just one or two specific questions answered that you really couldn’t empirically work out yourself.

You do not win as a trader, you just get to play again the next day. If that game doesn’t appeal to you then you should not trade. Gary Norden

HI
with my limited knowledge i will advice the thetradingframework courses. this course is too simple to give a structural way via volume profile . i have studied their market profile mastery course & it is very helpful to find the location of trade entry , trade exit locations.

it is also helpful in scale in scale out position. you will learn to trade value instead of price but he confirmation technique is poor. if trading is "Ready->Aim-->Fire" than their technique is the best in Ready & aim but you have to use some other things for "Fire".

but i have to say that i have studied only one course "Profile trading Mastery " his current course is 7 DAY INTENSIVE ONLINE TRADER TRAINING PROGRAMME. i don't know much about it

That's cool, but I am in the EDGE and I never seen you come into the chat room that was set up. It is the best feature of his training. You get to talk live to other traders all day and not type like in other chat rooms. If you just watch the videos your not going to get much out of his training. You have to apply what he teaches. Now we're not going to hold your hand and tell you when to get into a trade but you do have other guys just like you that can talk about trading. I've been in Market Delta Edge and Anthony for 4 years and it is hands down the best training I ever got. If you want to trade like a prop firm then you need training. Anthony worked on the floor then moved to the computer and trained a lot of floor traders that had to move to the computers. He knows what he is doing and he keeps it simple.
If you live near a prop firm then I suggest you go work for them to get the training. If you don't, Anthony is probably the best.
Good luck Everyone.

I have been an Edge member for a few years. The Edge is not a system, if that is what you want, move on. The Edge is a library of shared insights of a successful professional trader.
What Anthony offers is access to the mindset and methods of a professional trader. Markets move (mostly) by people getting out of trades. He shares his setups and how to spot stops, and therefore stuck traders. He teaches his best setups for entry locations.
I searched for several years to find an insider to teach me what is going on. I left Anthony after a year and then returned as his method was the only one I have found where I had successful streaks.
Yes, he is quick in and out, and that is the skill part. He does this by comparing markets and only stays in a trade while it makes sense. He teaches you where the best entries are to avoid too much heat. We learn not to marry a trade; only stay as long as it makes sense. He teaches you how to compare markets, how to understand price action and order flow. How to consider the influence of larger trades. He explains the influence of news and geopolitical events, scheduled or otherwise. He shares his mindset tricks to stay in a positive state of mind - even on a hard day.
The main thing for me about his method is trading in the moment. You can have the greatest technical entry, but the market gets other information (ahead of you) and things change. You need to be able to change with the market. We must stay on the right side of it to have any hope of making consistent money.
Move on if this is not what you seek, but don't disparage what you don't understand. Allow some time to comprehend the man's work. Yes the Edge seems expensive, but even at $5k you are getting his 20 years of insights in a video library. If you are interested just join the room at $100/mo. for a few months to start understanding the game. Every trading day is a 2.5 hour class on the markets. You won't find a better bargain.
Good luck with your magical indicator system.

I will be brief as there are those that will get and those that never will. Over a decade ago I began my quest in this industry and was as green as any other just starting out. Eager to learn I threw good money at several well known trade rooms only to find out they were not legit and were simply bilking clients with see dot trade dot systems and exorbitant monthly room fees. Fortunately with due diligence and little luck I found a person who was legit and got me on the right path. However, I would classify this person as a savant therefore it had it's challenges.

Now fast forward to today, I've been through the Market Delta online educational program and I'm in the trade room daily.
Why might you ask, because Anthony brings 17 years of experience as a professional prop trader and that is priceless. He will teach you real time market analysis through footprint charting NOT red light/green light systems. So you see, the education isn't just online videos, it is the ongoing meetings and the daily REAL TIME analysis from a professional teaching and guiding you through the ever changing market landscape.

I only see a bunch of 1 post history commenters pushing and touting the MD room. Are there any "legit" forum members with a post history that can vouch for the room?

No knowledge of Anthony or the Edge (other than U2), but I thought it was funny the different way we look at the forum post counts.

I noticed the post counts AND the date joined (and they're all Elite members) and thought of people who lurk and read a lot, but don't post unless they feel strongly about it
