been trying to get sierra dom closer to how it works on jigsaw for a while now and sc just isn't budging...

maybe with more people requesting this and adding "+1", they will pay more attention: https://www.sierrachart.com/SupportBoard.php?PostID=150979

basically, there are two main things missing on sc dom compared to jigsaw:

1) highlight for both bid and ask for whats currently being hit

2) from jigsaws manual which makes complete sense to see what's is trading and what has left (high strength move will leave a lot of blanks on one side):

Right now, sc has implemented so that either
1) the volume resets every time the bid/ask changes
OR
2) the volume accumulates according to the set time (e.g. 2500 milliseconds)

anyone who is used to the jigsaw dom will know these two should not be mutually exclusive, but rather work together... thus, for someone coming from jigsaw, it really is difficult to make the full switch to the current state of sc dom

below are examples of how jigsaw dom works, but is NOT possible with sc:

please help vote up on this sierra thread (https://www.sierrachart.com/SupportBoard.php?PostID=150979) by adding "+1 to post #27 and #28" if you want sc's dom to get better.

thank you so much in advance!!!

Re 1) You can already highlight if the bid/ ask is being currently hit. What is being asked by User839162 is if they can also add a highlight option for the previous( most recent) hit of the bid/ask and have it displayed as a different color.

"Free markets work because they allow people to be lucky, thanks to aggressive trial and error, not by giving rewards or incentives for skill. The strategy is, then, to tinker as much as possible and try to collect as many Black Swan opportunities as you can"

in jigsaw if the current bid is being hit, then BOTH THE BID and ASK will be highlighted

e.g.

if we ladder looks like this

........30...500
........29...400
100...28........
200...27........

if 28 bids are being hit, jigsaw will highlight BOTH 28 bid (100) and 29 ask (400)

if 29 offers are being lifted, jigsaw will highlight BOTH 28 bid (100) and 29 ask (400)
however in sc...

if 28 bids are being hit, sc will highlight ONLY 28 bid (100)

if 29 offers are being lifted, sc will highlight ONLY 29 ask (400)

I'm going to return to SC to do the Gauntlet. I'm not happy about it, but Sierra has some features that I really like. Maybe it will make me want to learn C# or whatever it is programmed in to work on my own tools. I was not happy about how the SC DOM handled execution or how it flowed, but I'm a bit biased towards TTs sleek and simple DOM. Price wise you can't beat SC.

in Jigsaw it flashes where the price last traded on the inner columns... how can I configure that in Sierra? I have both inner columns flashing in Sierra's DOM currently

I find it strange that this option is not available for ''current traded bid/ask volume''. Which is kind of a slower version of the recent bid/ask volume. I have asked support about this.

Are you using package 3 or 5? I had some issues using the all the DOM features until I updated to package 5.

Using package 5.

I double checked, since there are a ton of functions to weed through. Are you sure the function is there?

What we are looking for should be the something like the following: ''last traded current traded bid/ask volume background'' or maybe ''last current traded bid/ask volume background''.

Would be easy enough to get it done for SC support.

Edit: To be clear, the video gives a solution for ''recent bid/ask volume'' backgrounds. I am looking, and cannot find, for the same background solution for ''current traded bid/ask volume'' background.
