Anyone swing trade these ETF's? Can you short them or would there not be any point shorting either one? I think I recall someone on here was able to take advantage of one of them in some way but can't recall how.

There's a lot of shares traded so I would assume a lot of people trade them.

Thanks

Whether you can margin/short these, will depend on your broker.

Both are 3x leverage of QQQ and SQQQ is inverse. Both qualities can be desired if you don't have a margin account.

If you do have a margin account, then might also be able to save margin costs, depending.

Can use various ETFs in combination to avoid wash sales rules.

Could also use SQQQ to avoid pattern day trading rules, if that is desired. But then you would be subject to the spread, so could either hurt you or help.

You can also purposefully trade the spreads.

Can't think of anything else off hand.

I've been trading these for several years. 3x. They get good volume at all trading hours.
SQQQ allows me to short the market in my IRA.
I think the leverage is comparable to the NQ/ES, but the liquidity is not.
I like that they are commission free at my broker so can run them all day without paying a penny.
I find that the SQQQ/TQQQ are some of the most volatile and unpredictable ETF's to trade other than the Oil etf's. They don't follow support and resistance rules as well as the UPRO or TNA.
