America's 'everything' fighter jet is a total disaster

Personally I believe that the F35 program should be cut in half and that the extra cash should be used to by 4.5 Generation fighters like the F-16V, F-18 Advanced Super Hornet, and F-15 Silent Eagle.

New F-16V ?Viper? Makes First Flight |

Boeing's Stealthy F-15 "Silent Eagle" May Fly After All

Yes, a civilian pilot... Working on completing my private pilots license and then looking to get helicopter and multiengine next.

I come from a family of pilots and military. But I did not serve.

The same line of reasoning keeps the B-52 in service today.

After this most recent pause in defense spending, growth in the defense industry should get back on track in a year or so.
