The community is one of the friendliest you will find on any subject, with members going out of their way to help others. Some of the primary differences between futures io and other trading sites revolve around the standards of our community. At futures io, our focus is on quality education. No hype, gimmicks, or secret sauce. The truth is: trading is hard. To succeed, you need to surround yourself with the right support system, educational content, and trading mentors Ė all of which you can find on futures io, utilizing our social trading environment.

With futures io, you can find honest trading reviews on brokers, trading rooms, indicator packages, trading strategies, and much more. Our trading review process is highly moderated to ensure that only genuine users are allowed, so you donít need to worry about fake reviews.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading sites:
  • We are here to help. Just let us know what you need.
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive in our community.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendors advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, we can help you find it.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community.  It's free and simple.

Are there any stock swing traders here?

I'm looking to discuss swing trading stocks with any like minded trader. Paid my registration fee but don't see any stock traders. Please don't tell me I'm the only stock trader on the forum.

The site is mostly futures. But I swing trade a lot personally and in fact am doing it more and more vs day trading futures (because of time constraints, and because it is so much easier).

Generally there is a individual thread for each instrument being discussed.

Mike

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

I swing blue chip stocks too off the weekly chart most of the time so count me in!
I also find swinging much easier, and more reliable, plus higher rik:reward ratios.

Successful people will do what unsuccessful people won't or can't do!

Swing trading ASX and US is my bread and butter work and has served me well before I went full time. I scan for some setups and in the past I subscribed to a couple of pretty good sites too when I got started. I would be happy to share my picks here as we as the method I use to scan.

Buying the blood here with a couple of stocks. If it's indeed a change in the long term trend we will know soon enough. For now, buying a couple of the highest flying growth stocks. TSLA & IRBT. I like the names that seem too high to buy. I also like both fundamental stories. As for technicals, I like the huge volume gap ups which tell me that the market is unsure about the value of the stock. I also use the williams %r to manage entries and exits. If a stock is in a strong trend, I buy dips below the -20 level on the indicator. My stop is a close below the low of the dip day, as the case now, I also have a 20 or 10 period moving average to lean on. Also have CREE, NFLX, SPWR, and V on my watch list.

It is?

Shouldn't require that much crying

Most everything to do with psychology, risk, and methodology applies universally.
