Tesla reveals prices for standard Model X SUVs - SFGate

Tesla reveals prices for standard Model X SUVs
Tuesday, November 24, 2015

When Tesla Motors started delivering its luxury electric SUV, the Model X, in September, the $132,000 price tag raised eyebrows — almost as much as the car’s falcon-wing doors.

But that price was for the “Signature” edition of the Model X, a high-performance, bells-and-whistles version meant for limited production. On Monday, Tesla revealed that more standard versions of the car will cost substantially less. Although they still won’t be cheap.

The most basic Model X, with a 70 kilowatt-hour battery pack, starts at $80,000, before state and federal incentives are factored in. Bump up the battery pack to 90 kilowatt-hours for extra range on the road, and the cost rises to $95,500. And with the Signature series sold out, the highest performance version of the car — the P90D — now starts at $115,500.

This doesn't apply to Tesla, but I figured people who appreciate driverless cars are following this thread:

These kind of reports always make me smile. The real limitation is man power and the time of the "man power" they do have. Same goes for Space X. There is never enough time in the day

Smart, so long as Tesla can meet demand on the 3 and not suffer quality issues I think it's long term positive for the stock
