Here's where we are at the moment (12:12 CT 21 Dec 2011)
(I used to be able to automatically update my spreadsheet from Yahoo finance - but those muttonheads have changed the webpage design so that it is not longer tables - that's what you get when non-traders are in control of website design on a Finance page
Today I was reading the January edition of Dell Horoscope magazine and Bill column from Dec continues.
(edition purchased on 24 Nov 2011)
His system is to screen for stocks with several planets (posn Asc, Node etc) in Jupiter on there first trade chart.
When I started the thread I just started with the 8 purchased one and some SDS (ultrashort) and the other 7 later. However, there wasn't really an astrological basis for my purchase date.
So I looked at the Ephemeris and Jupiter has been in Taurus for a while and it is retrograde.
It goes direct in Taurus on 26 Dec - so the next trade date would be a good starting date for the portfolio purchase.
I decided to look back and Jupiter trined Venus on Nov 27 at 4:23PM so Nov 28, a Monday is also a potential purchased date. (a Trine is an angle of 120 degrees between two planets and is considered favourable).
Using $250,000 I purchased all 15 at open. (Once again I paid $9.99 flat commission per trade). This time however I am not buying any SDS.
I have brought the other portfolios to $250,000 and today I adjusted the Bills8 to the same.
I did this by leaving the transaction dates and prices the same and increasing the share amounts
I am keeping it on Yahoo Finance
(originally I was going to keep it all in my spreadsheet both I can no longer update the stock prices automatically in the spreadsheet as I used to do. Some x -x programmer who doesn't know about investing changed the portfolios from table format - because "it looks nice"...)
I think I have a mistake in the performance of Bills8 and I have adjusted the math.
I had move the portfolio from a "watchlist" type to a transaction type and at that time I had to add a balancing cash entry which was wrong.
So I went back to the spreadsheet and after some work the new portfolio current position is:
$260,743 or plus $10,068 13:36Ct
so the previous comparision chart
"weekly portfolio levels" is wrong.
